"Odd" soul gem value

Reverted a change, which added the following text to the intro:

The soul gem has a negative value of -183762370.

And the following edit summary:

Added soulgem value because it seemed so odd to me.

I don't understand:

• what's "odd" about the soul gem's value,
• why it is noteworthy in this page (as opposed to, say, the page on soul gems, or
• whether it is even noteworthy in the first place.

Can anyone please explain? In the meantime, that bit of data remains available here, in the talk page. Salamangkero (talk) 18:30, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
