Bug removal[edit]

Dulnea Ralaal bug does not seem to be working. Could someone double-check that it works? Poikins 17:28, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

The bug doesn't work for me (I'm using the last official patches -GotY- and the unofficial patch) --85.55.204.76 15:56, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Banor Seran disposition set to 20[edit]

In notes, there is mention; "Whether or not he gives you a bottle, Banor Seran's disposition towards you is set to 20 when you ask." According to construction set, this is true; setdisposition 20. (when he says "You're being tiresome. Go away". However, made some tests; With 100 personality, disposition dropped from 100 to 39. With personality 30, disposition dropped from 100 to 4.Other values of personality also altered disposition drop accordingly. So it appears that the disposition drop is depended from personality, and is not purely static. Also this disposition change occured only when Banor gave that brandy. This is odd!. --Yagutzal (talk) 18:58, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Note that Banor's disposition is set to 20, not modified by 20. This is an NPC's base disposition. This base disposition will then be modified by various factors, including the player's personality, race, and faction affiliations. It is this modified disposition that you see when interacting with an NPC and is usually different from the base disposition. So your results make sense: a high personality will result in a higher modified disposition, while a low personality will result in a lower modified disposition. However, Banor's base disposition will still be 20 in either case. So the note is correct as it stands, and your conclusions are also correct: an NPC's final disposition toward you is dependent on personality, but this is true for all NPCs in all interactions.
And yes, it is kind of odd that his disposition gets set to 20 only when he donates brandy. Maybe he hates you for talking him into it? :P — Wolfborn(Howl) 01:44, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Ah, now it makes more sense! Thanks! --Yagutzal (talk) 11:53, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Actually, upon re-reading, that note does contain an error: Banor's disposition gets set to 20 only if you persuade him to donate a bottle, not if he doesn't donate a bottle. I've gone ahead and corrected it. — Wolfborn(Howl) 12:08, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Cool! Thanks for checking! --Yagutzal (talk) 15:57, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
