Changes to rebalance gameplay[edit]

Much was done to make it harder to farm for money, and to close the "easy routes" to making one's character nigh unkillable. Here are some noticeable changes:

  • The scamp merchant in Caldera and the mudcrab merchant in Azura's Coast have less gold to barter with.
  • You can no longer enchant items with the following effects: Fortify Skill, Fortify Attribute, Drain Health and Invisibility. Same goes for spellmaking, with the exception for Invisibility. Note: By using the alternative plugin included in the Morrowind Rebirth.rar, you can undo all the changes mentioned above.
  • Summoned Golden Saints have much smaller souls (175) and thus cannot be used for constant effect enchantments. Same goes for many other creatures. Instead you have to rely on capturing souls of unique encounters such as Dagoth Geres or Staada.
  • Daedra do not drop Daedric weapons and armor.
  • Golden Saints do not drop Deadric, Ebony or Glass weapons and armor
  • All loot tables have been revised, with less random valueables but with more variety.
  • Dark Brotherhood assassin attacks start at level 15 instead of level 1.
  • Vendor gold resets every 72 hours up from 24.
