The Orsinium Area was a Third Era political entity situated in the Iliac Bay region, inhabited by Orcs and ruled from the city of Orsinium. It bordered Menevia, Wayrest, and the Wrothgarian Mountains. The Lyrezi clan was the predominant vampire bloodline in the region.[1]
History[edit]
Before it was occupied by the Orcs of Orsinium, it was a large tract of unclaimed land between Menevia and Wayrest and in 3E 399, it was contested between two forces, Gortwog gro-Nagorm and Lord Bowyn. Their duel to decide ownership took place in the palace of Bowyn's cousin, Lord Berylith in Wayrest, and both combatants used Orcish armor, which played a factor in Gortwog's victory. He decided to name the land in honor of his forefathers, Orsinium.[2]
After the Warp in the West, the region became a part of the larger kingdom of Orsinium.[3]
