Kemen was an Ayleid settlement located in the foothills of the Valus Mountains in Cyrodiil. Its ruins can be found at the end of the Blue Road, east of the city of Cheydinhal.[1] The lower level of Kemen was known as the Varlasel,[2] or "Hall of Stars" in Ayleidoon.[3][4]
Circa 2E 582, the entrance to Kemen was sealed. The nearby military stronghold of Farragut Keep was located just to the north of the ruins and was the site of much contention during the Alliance War.[5]
By 3E 433 the ruins had been opened, but its subterranean halls were crawling with undead.[6] Kemen had been a well-known location among local adventurers for many years at that point.[1]
