Marilyn Wasserman was a volunteer QA Tester for Bethesda Softworks in the 1990s, and a writer on the Council of Wisdom. In addition, Wasserman is responsible for a good deal of the early Elder Scrolls lore, from which a lot of the subsequent worldbuilding is derived.
The god Mara was named after Marilyn.
