In this one, after I killed one of the assassins, Falco said something like, "Stay here. There might be more." So I stood around while Falco chased off one of them. After a little while I went after them, and found Falco and the assassin standing there staring at one another, neither attacking. I had to kill the assassin to finish the quest.--Brf 10:37, 24 May 2008 (EDT)

Possible Bug[edit]

Has anyone else experienced a situation wherein attacking Baslod causes a crime to be reported, and the guards subsequently attack you? I thought it was just a fluke the first time, but upon retrying a few times, hitting Baslod at any time during the attack causes this effect. The same doesn't happen with the other two. -RAHB 06:51, 5 February 2009 (EST)

If you attack any of the assassins before you get the message that they're attacking it will count as a crime. –RpehTCE 07:39, 5 February 2009 (EST)
Right, of course. That's why I retried a few times, and after getting the message and killing the other two assassins with no problem, attacking Baslod still yielded this result. -RAHB 19:54, 5 February 2009 (EST)

Third assassin not self-confident enough?[edit]

Played through this quest multiple times and got almost the same weird behavior as described in on above — after a small fight between Falco and third assassin, he turns friendly and flees behind the shop. Falco stops attacking him either and killing the assassin at this point makes you a criminal. I had to cast Frenzy Humanoid on him to finish the quest.

you know what? I had the same thing happen more than once. I think this deserves a note under the "Bugs" section, seeing as it's been more than one person now, and on multiple accounts of those people.--Corevette789 12:38, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Same here, although it was on the other archer (Cimber Valerius). He was shooting from afar; I tried to get close to him, but Falco stopped me and asked me not to go too far away. And then they stopped fighting. 81.56.56.227 13:17, 24 December 2013 (GMT)

Crime for defending Falco[edit]

Similar to previous posts here, but I can't attack any of the three assassins without incurring a bounty for assault and murder. This seems to be because the assassins won't attack me to get the first blow because they concentrate on Falco and the guards. And before anyone says anything, this is without any chameleon or invisibility or anything that should be preventing the assassins from seeing me. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 23:24, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

After several failed tries because of bounties, I was forced to just follow Falco around healing him. He eventually killed the swordsman, and went after the second archer. Followed that battle around for a while, till Falco and the archer just stopped fighting and walked back to where they started, probably getting the passive issue noted on the quest page. Followed the archer, summoned a few creatures and used frenzy on the archer and he finally attacked my creatures and me, allowing me to hit him without getting a bounty. Stupid quest, I would have to say. --Dragos Drakkar (talk) 23:24, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Music bug[edit]

During an attack of assassin with a bow I left Falco for a while and kill assassin. Then I killed second one and third was killed by guards. Now no matter what happens there is always playing battle music in Raven rock. I can rest, so there is no enemy but the music never change. Anyone run into this bug? --Arkantos (talk) 22:45, 30 October 2019 (GMT)
