Scruffy

Scruffy is the Jucani family dog, who is currently on the run. Banus Jucani will task you with finding him during the related quest, and he will become a follower once you locate him in the wilderness just southeast of Freezewind Hollow, on the road to Mountain Watch.

The dog isn't in good shape when you find him: he's heavily bruised, missing fur in patches and has numerous cuts and scars under his skin which can't have been caused by the local wildlife. It is clear he has been mistreated by the Jucani family, as Banus admits his father "sometimes accidentally bumps into Scruffy or drops things on him". You can choose to bring Scruffy back to Banus or, provided you have concluded the Barnius tribute quest, take him to Erlus Risula at Snowstone Rest.
