Banus Jucani

Banus Jucani, an Imperial child, is a scion of the rich and powerful Jucani clan in Bruma. His parent are Albecius and Ruccia, while blacksmith's apprentice Eddvia is his sister. His dog, Scruffy, has recently gone missing and you will have to decide whether to return him to Banus or find it another owner.

After waking up early at 4am, Banus will spend the next four hours loitering around the house until everyone else wakes up. After a family breakfast at 8am, he will head outside at 10am and spend the next ten hours playing tag with his friend Ellina Iron-Heart. At 8pm he rushes back home for dinner and will head to bed at 10pm.

When greeting you, he will say: "I'm Banus. My dad's Albecius. What's your name?" If you ask him what life is like in Bruma, he admits: "I don't like it. It's better than in a place like Bravil, sure, but I miss the Imperial City. That, and my dad. I want to see things, but he never lets me too far out of his sight or the sight of the guards. I want to see the forests and the ogres and the minotaurs and the trolls for myself, not through the window of some carriage with my dad." If you decide to give Scruffy away, he will refuse to speak to you.

Banus wears child's clothes and shoes, and carries the key to the family residence as well as an assortment of toys and food.

Conversations[edit]

You may overhear the following conversations between Banus, Ruccia and Botram the Hammer:

Ruccia: "Banus! What are you doing out here?"
Banus: "I'm just talking to people..."
Ruccia: "You know what I've told you about running off on your lonesome! Bruma can be a very dangerous place, young man!"
Banus: "Yes, ma...sorry, ma."
Ruccia: "Alright. Apology accepted. But I won't be seeing you out here again, will I?"
Banus: "No..."
Ruccia: "Good. Let's go home now."

Banus: "Botram! Botram!"
Botram: "Again, boy? What is it this time?"
Banus: "Tell me another story!"
Botram: "You'll never give an old man his peace, will you? Very well. How about the Big Bad Bear and the Very Good Forester?"
Banus: "No, I've heard that one already! Tell me another one!"
Botram: "All sorts of demanding, aren't you, child. Heh... ...alright. Just give me another hour and I'll come up with a whole new story for you, eh?"
