Your mission is simple. Keep your vigil at Pale Pass. Watch the Imperial dogs in the fort closely - look for weaknesses in their defenses. Anything to give us an advantage when we strike.

I'll join you when the time is right. In the meantime, lie low. One of our boys should reach you with food and other supplies about a week after your departure. Make them last.

Some additional text has been hastily scrawled on the bottom of the missive:

This plan has gone to Oblivion in a handbasket. The bloody fort is swarming with soldiers. Gods, how in the world am I ever going to make it out of this tower alive?

...and, I'm hungry. So very hungry. Damn it, Rungvar. Why did you have to give me a key that won't even open the bloody supplies you sent us with?
