Leo

Leo, an Imperial child, is the local paper boy in Bruma, selling copies of the Black Horse Courier, the Niben Herald, and the Colovian Chronicle. A refugee from Skyrim, he lives in a shack in the slums just outside the northern gate with his adoptive grandfather, Blind Balius.

Leo wakes up early every morning at 5am and eats breakfast with his grandfather at 7am, before heading out sell papers on Bruma's streets at 9am. He can be found roaming the city until 7pm, taking a short break between 2pm and 4pm to return to the slums and check up on Balius. After dinner at 7pm, he will head to bed at 10pm.

He wears child's clothes and shoes, and carries a pair of gloves, the key to his shack and a random selection of gold, lockpicks, gems, jewelry, food and drink.

Leo carries out his job with great enthusiasm, pushing his wares when first greeting you: "Lookin' for the news?", "Every copy only costs ten septims." and "Got a lotta copies here. Interested?"

Balius will comment on Leo's positive outlook on life in the face of adversity: "Ah, Leo. Brave Leo. That boy is older than his years, you know. Calls me gramps, even though I'm not really his grandfather. Though I might as well be now. We met on the road to Cyrodiil, just two Imperial refugees among many. He never told me where he came from, or what happened to his parents. I tried not to pry. It's funny, you know - funny that we, a child and a cripple, made it here when so many others didn't. But Leo is nothing if not determined. He deserves better."

Conversations[edit]

When in the slums you may overhear Balius and Leo discussing their future plans:

Leo: "We almost got enough to move south, gramps!"
Balius: "I'll never understand why you call me by that name, Leo... now, are you sure the money is properly hidden away?"
Leo: "'Course I am! I ain't an idiot..."
Balius: "I never said you were, Leo. In fact, I'm quite proud of you. You carry such a burden on your shoulders - one that I should have carried instead."
Leo: "Oh, don't you worry about it, gramps. I'll provide for the both of us."
