Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Talk to Moorswind[edit]
Notice that you first need to join the Rangers Guild to get this quest. Go to the Rangers Guild in Skingrad and talk to Moorswind, he'll be in his office on the top floor. He'll tell you that a shipment of special wood ordered for the guild hasn't arrived. It originated in Blackmarsh, so he wants you to go to Leyawiin and talk to someone at the Topal Trading Company, the company handling the shipment of the wood.
Go to Leyawiin[edit]
The Topal Trading Company building is located in Leyawiin Harbour, outside the city walls. Go inside and talk to Charles Dumaine, the owner. He'll tell you that they recently discovered that the ship The Tender Topal carrying the guild's wood has gone missing; he has another ship, The Shining Topal, ready to set sail to go look for it. Since you're there, he asks you to go along. He'll give you a letter with all the details to deliver to The Shining Topal's captain.
Search for the Missing Ship[edit]
The Shining Topal is docked right outside the building - just turn left as you go out the door and straight ahead. Captain Pegaro will be in his cabin; deliver the letter to him, and he'll tell you to head below and rest until they find something. Go down to the crew deck and head forward until you find a bunk that isn't owned. You can rest there (you will sleep for exactly 48 hours, and it will be 9.30am when you wake up regardless of the time when you rested).
Rescue the Survivors[edit]
Some time later, you'll be awakened - they've found a shipwreck on a small island. Captain Pegaro wants you to go confirm it's the ship you're looking for, so you'll have to take a row boat to the island. Use the rope tying the row boat to the ship; this will get you there. Once you're on the island, head over to the ship. If you're not too picky about looting, you can search the containers: all but one (a barrel in the stream) are random clutter; the barrel holds 25 steel arrows.
On the far side of the island, you'll find a small camp with a group of survivors. The first survivor you speak to will tell you that they ran aground during a storm, then were attacked by pirates, who took most of their goods and killed several of them. Captain Pegaro's sister, Ephenee, was taken prisoner.
After you get the information, lead the survivors back to the ship. You can go back to the island if you wish, to continue looting containers, or you can simply report to the captain. He'll express dismay at his sister's fate and tell you to inform the first mate to cast off.
Return to Leyawiin[edit]
Speak to Barin and he'll arrange for the ship to return to Leyawiin - you will automatically be moved to the bed you rested in on the ship previously, and you will sleep for exactly 48 hours. Once you get back to Leyawiin, return to the Topal Trading Company's building and tell Charles what happened.
Return to Skingrad[edit]
Return to Skingrad and inform Moorswind of all that has transpired. He'll be disappointed, but will reward you for completing the task.
