Nanya's Diary
by Nanya of Vlânor
Nanya's confession of her misdeeds

I write these lines in best knowledge of my approaching death, so that you, who will read my words, will tell the world about the iniquity that has been done.

My name is Nanya of Vlânor.

I am a daughter of Assilian, the last son of Ardan the Cruel and carry with me venom and guilt of the treachery my ancestor has done to the realm.

Nevertheless, in my life, I tried to avenge by my deeds the betrayels [sic] that have been done to realm and folk. And as a disciple of Mephala and last witness of the god's most gruesome deed, do I share now the fate of the priests of Ruun, entrapped in this temple.

That Ardan's last blood will now dry within me, is as fair as just and I will embrace this fate in the knowledge that worse I would deserve.

Yes, I am guilty of the hunts on peasants and plain and have drunk their blood to darkest rites.

Yes, I raised the ceremonial dagger more than once over an innocent soul, so that its screams of pain could awaken the gods.

Yes, I have drowned the defenseless in their own blood and tasted the corpses of the helpless.

And to whom this is not enough, may you hear about the most gruesome deed, to rule a god for Ruun and for the dragonborn's fall.

But first listen to this, you, the one who reads those lines: I swear to everything that is holy to me, that while the white fog Askot rushed the flesh from the cult's corpse, it took the blindness from my eyes.

And if my tears, of the last clean mind of my innocence must run to prevent me from death only that you are now able to read, so hear this:

Never may the Script of Blood pass the seal of Ardan's tomb. Save your soul, as where the book will go, will it darken the spirits, poison the hearts and lead humans to death.

I assume you will now look down onto my wasted bones and even if my eyes become dark holes, so take the book as my last will.

Do not take it by the last will of the daughter of Ardan.

Do not take it by the last will of a believer of Mephala.

Take it by the will of a human being.

Never may the book of blood leave the temple.

Nanya of Vlânor

I do not know why the gods have shown their mercy. Two weeks have passed since I wrote the lines above. But I was discovered by a good soul. I am too weak to write long... but I will protect the Bloodscript and Ruun won't be forgotten!!!
