Novas Senim

Novas Senim is a Dark Elf noble and a Lay Elder in Great House Indoril. He lives in his manor in Akamora which is located at the peak of the central islet. Nominally, he is in charge of the town's affairs but the multitude of noble families vying for power limits his authority, with an opposing faction led by Seras Indaren. Despite this, Novas Senim is one of the most powerful people in Akamora and owns a local egg mine together with Relas Aravel. And due to his lordship, Senim Manor is protected by two Indoril guards.

Novas wears expensive shoes, an extravagant shirt and exquisite shoes as well as bracers, greaves and pauldrons. In combat he wields a glass wakizashi. This, combined with his high level, means that he is considerably tougher than most other nobles in the game. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows several spells: Surpassing Swiftblade, Surpassing Denial, Surpassing Fleetness, Assured Fleetness and Nimbleness. None of which are very helpful in a pitched battle.

Dialogue[edit]

  • Greetings: "What business could an outlander like yourself have with the lord of Akamora?"
  • absconded from the Akamora egg mines: "Yes, we are missing two slaves. Not that they were of much use, but we must avoid setting a precedent at all costs. The mine, along with several others, is located in a vale straight east of town. Narsula Zuls oversees the slaves for us. Ask around, someone is sure to have seen them. Here's hoping that you and your Guild don't disappoint us."
  • Akamora: "It is a majestic city, one that I am proud to be lord of. Normally the ruler of such an impressive settlement would be guaranteed a seat on the House Indoril council, but that is unfortunately not the case here. Akamora has for years been denied its rightful representation due to the obstructive ambitions of a select few. Their disgraceful conduct has done much to harm Akamora's prestige."
  • Akamora Egg Mines: "I am the owner of Senim-Aravel Egg Mine and Sannisaran Egg Mine, though the latter one is quite a distance from the city."
  • assassination of the Telomas:
    • "I do not know who to blame other than your Guild for its incompetence."
    • "I mourn over their deaths, but I do not know who to blame other than your Guild for its incompetence. I advise you not to bother neither the Indarens nor the Veris with your inquiries, however. Whether they're innocent or not is irrelevant. An outlander asking questions would offend them either way. And frankly, these questions offend me as well. You should talk with the Morag Tong. Though the thugs you describe sound nothing like the Tong, they might at least know who they were."
  • Background: "I am Novas Senim, %Rank of House Indoril, and by the Grace of Almsivi, Lord of Akamora."
  • Clibergus's ledger:
    • "I did buy this nice pair of shoes from him. I didn't buy anything else, though, and as far as I remember he indeed carried a large book with him. He still had it with him when he left."
    • "I suggest you check out the Guilds. Outlanders make good thieves. And bad traders, incidentally."
    • "I did buy this nice pair of shoes from him. I didn't buy anything else, though, and as far as I remember he indeed carried a large book with him. He still had it with him when he left."
  • Dun Akafell: "My virtuous family can trace its lineage all the way back to the ancient cities' proud nobility."
  • Morag Tong: "Though the assassins you described sound nothing like the Tong, I'd still try questioning them. There's a chance they might know who the assassins were even if they weren't their own. The Morag Tong Guildhall is located on the central islet, by the grand bridge leading east. Surely you passed the hall when climbling here."
  • remember the roots: "Did Surol Volayn tell you that? Those of the ancestral Chimer who would in time become the noble families of Akamora were indeed once ardent worshippers of the Daedroth Mephala. Though today we still recognize the importance of the Good Daedra, we are loyal servants of the Tribunal. The daughter of my good friend Llerar Arenim has always been a little... bordering on soul-sickness, if you will. I wouldn't believe everything she says if I were you."
  • Surol: "The foster daughter of the Arenims, our loyal allies. The young mistress has many good qualities, I'm sure, but she's somewhat eccentric. Wanders around town, captivated by some imaginary world. She's known to disappear from time to time, but never for too long. I suspect she returns to the mountains where she was found on those little trips."
  • Telera Parys: "The woman does not know her place. She calls herself an Indoril, but her behavior is like that of a scheming Imperial."
  • The Inn Between: "I am sorry, but I do not have much experience with inns. They are not places someone of my standing would frequent."
  • Valley of Mephala: "Is this about Surol Volayn? Heed my warning, outlander -- whatever she has gotten herself into, stay out of it. The Arenims mean well, but nothing good will come out of involving your Guild."
