Incredible Exploding House[edit]

My first trip to the isolated house was just after the second wave of Oblivion Gates appear during the main quest. I found the house in tact, but after I entered it, the house literally exploded into an Oblivion Gate. I believe I took some damage from it. — Unsigned comment by Jack Acid (talkcontribs) on 16 May 2007

It exploded for me just as I was leaving. It was fantastic! — Unsigned comment by (talk) on 5 June 2007
The house changed into an Oblivion Gate as soon as I exited the place, but I experienced no explosion nor damage. I suspect that, if your character spawned on the map against a flaming spot, it would account for the "blast" experienced. —Dark Spark 01:00, 17 January 2008 (EST)
The same thing happened to me, I killed two bandits inside, and when i left, the house exploded. Rather awesomely, there were two scorched corpses in the area after the explosion. — Unsigned comment by (talk) on 4 October 2008
does it rebuild after the main quest? — Unsigned comment by LuciusZelgius (talkcontribs) on 10 November 2008
By spawn inside the house do you mean it spawns inside the houses cell or inside the house outside, would it be possible for it to trap you in the house as there is an oblivion gate where the door was. — Unsigned comment by Dadrak (talkcontribs) on 28 May 2009

() It will spawn outside of the house, but the house will be in ruins and you can't enter the interior cell anymore. (Just like the houses you see in Kvatch.) 06:03, 18 June 2009 (EDT)

Line across page[edit]

I believe there is a line on this page that goes through the image. I don't know how to remove it but it would help if it was gone. --Matthewest 18:18, 29 February 2008 (EST)

No such line exists either in Firefox or in IE. It sounds to me like a problem with your browser. --NepheleTalk 22:10, 29 February 2008 (EST)
I see it too. I see it on IE7, however, I don't see it on Safari.(I have Safari for Windows)--Imperial Scum 16:52, 5 May 2008 (EDT)
That's a common IE7 glitch. I don't see it on IE8...at least not on this page. --Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 21:22, 7 June 2009 (EDT)

Easy to Find[edit]

I've come across this house like 7 times. How many bandits are inside? — Unsigned comment by (talk) on 17 June 2009

There's always one, and then there's a 75% chance of a second. –RpehTCE 17:17, 17 June 2009 (EDT)

Moved Note[edit]

It is possible for you to sleep inside the house and wake up to the Oblivion gate having spawned.

This seems fishy due to the cell being different. If someone can confirm this, please add it back. --Elliot(T-C) 23:38, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

I went inside and when i came out it was an oblivion gate - Anonymous — Unsigned comment by (talk)

floating Lady's Smock[edit]

to the south-east of this house, not far at all, just next to it pretty much, i found a floating lady's smock plant (i think it was lady's smock). i just thought id mention it, see if anyone else has seen this phenomenon — Unsigned comment by (talk) at 00:08 on 1 September 2009 (GMT)

Yes, there is indeed a Lady's Smock plant floating very high in mid-air right next to the house. The Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes this on the PC, but on console-based or unpatched versions, it's there. —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 02:35, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
cool, for some reason i'm happy its not just my copy but it is actually a real part of cyrodill — Unsigned comment by (talk)

A screen on the page of the Obliterated House would be a nice addition. Can somebody throw one up there? I've not yet seen this house, personally. — Unsigned comment by DaedalusMachina (talkcontribs) at 19:06 on 8 June 2010

Thats not a bad idea :D Mikeyboy52 10:12, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

The isolated house is not a settlement, but here it is considered a settlement? It should be moved, back to its place in the unmarked places page. Kinvalor75 11:42, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
