Mold

Is there anything other than the similar placement that indicates that these two names refer to the same settlement? Seems really speculative to me. Mindtrait0r (talk) 13:15, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

Not the exact same; Mold is much farther south from the Bjoulsae than Thorstad is from it in their maps. It is also farther east of Riverview. Plus, looking at the differing positions of Sentinel in the maps, locations are not exact. To be honest, even if they were in the exact same spot, that would not be enough to necessarily correlate them beyond a note saying that 'A settlement known as Mold appeared on maps around the same location of Thorstad Place during the Second Era.' No its quite the same place, west of Verkarth and east of Lainlyn. Any minor changes like being south of the Bjoulsae are just a side effect of the RG map being more stretched out, nothing more. Besides the rivers/islands all Hammerfell locations are based off Arena towns.

I still disagree that it is an alternative name. As you said, the map is distorted, meaning two things having the same relative placements compared to nearby towns isn't super conclusive. Mindtrait0r (talk) 18:19, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
