Abandoned?

"(...) but the area was later abandoned. The town was refounded some time in the Fourth Era when a lumbermill was built on the banks of the river."

Is there any source confirming this? The town might as well have been slowly depopulated until it became a small village, instead of being abandoned and refounded. Unless I'm missing some bit of dialogue from Skyrim. --Vordur Steel-Hammer (TINV1K) 14:59, 21 May 2015 (GMT)
