Welcome![edit]

Hiya Vidian! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's great when we get new members. Just thought I'd send you a welcome with some helpful info. Check out the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at the Userboxes page: a near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~ (do not sign edits to articles). Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun!

Verification of bugs[edit]

I noticed that you keep removing the vn=1 tag from the bug that you added to the Vigilance article. Any bugs that are added need to be verified by another person, therefore the vn tag (which is shorthand for Verification Needed) is added to each new bug. When someone other than the original poster verifies the bug, the tag gets changed to "confirmed=1", but it needs to be a second person that verifies the bug. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here. Thanks, and happy editing! --Xyzzy Talk 15:29, 8 April 2013 (GMT)

Thank you for the clarification. This may be a bug for all dogs. Having had very few helpful responses in the forums here, I tried the official forum for help, and just added new info a few minutes ago. That forum is proving to be equally not helpful though. What are your thoughts on how to log this bug? Should it be on the hearthfire page, the houses page, a page for all dogs, or individually listed for each dog (or hearthfire home)? Any ideas for a fix? Vidian (talk) 16:33, 9 April 2013 (GMT)
Here's the forum post I mentioned: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1453863-vigilance-moved-to-wrong-house/ Vidian (talk) 16:44, 9 April 2013 (GMT)
The closest thing that I can find to an article about pets is Skyrim:Followers#Creatures. I would post your question on that article's talk page, along with your experiences. If this bug does indeed occur with any pet dog, the Followers article may be the best place for it, maybe with a note on each potential pet's article. Someone familiar with Hearthfire, which unfortunately I'm not, may have some ideas on how to fix this.
I also understand your frustration with the Forums. Trying to get a timely, and helpful, response can be difficult. It has only been 4 days since you originally posted your question, however. Give it a little more time. --Xyzzy Talk 21:34, 9 April 2013 (GMT)
Alright, I'll give that a go. Thank you for your help. Nice to see how to indent text now too...  :-) Vidian (talk) 23:17, 9 April 2013 (GMT)
I duplicated the bug with another dog, but this time getting it adopted at that home without a move. I added the bug to the skyrim:dog page. I'll modify the bug note on the vigilance page. Vidian (talk) 03:35, 15 April 2013 (GMT)

() I moved the bug note on Vigilance's page to the Notes section and reworded it slightly. You can copy and paste it to the articles for any other dog followers you find that encounter this bug. Thanks for contributing this. --Xyzzy Talk 03:51, 15 April 2013 (GMT)
