Welcome[edit]

Hello Mastermanoo! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our Patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Volthawk 17:54, 20 September 2009 (UTC)

Signing In[edit]

Hello Mastermanoo. If you would kindly sign in before making an edit to your User page, it would be greatly appreciated. Generally, the only person permited to edit a User page is the page's owner (unless it breaks certain rules of the site such as copyright violation, in which case an admin might), so when an editor sees that an anonymous IP edits a user page, the first thought to come to our mind is they are vandalising the page. Just a heads up for the future so that any work you add to your page in the future isn't undone by a well meaning editor. Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 19:28, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Show Preview[edit]

Thanks for your interest in the wiki; however, you seem to have been making multiple edits to a page by not using the show preview button, clogging up the Recent Changes in the process. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but keep in mind that each edit needs to be patrolled, so multiple consecutive edits create an unnecessary hassle on those who patrol. So please utilize this feature! You may also want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. --Elliot talk 22:18, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi Mastermanoo! I just saw your question in Nephele's talk page archive--just so you know, archived talk pages shouldn't be edited except to update links. If you have a question for a user, make sure you post it on their main talk page :).
To clarify, we usually ask users to try and avoid making multiple consecutive saves to a page. It's less serious with user pages, but with other articles it can make it difficult to tell what changes have been made. Also, every edit you make has to be patrolled, so cutting down on the number of saves cuts down on the amount of work other users have to do. Hope that answers your question! –Eshetalk 02:18, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
