Battlemaster's Corner

The Summoner[edit]

The Summoner is a pet-focused Sorcerer build that features a huge Magicka pool and combat pets.

The Bullheaded Butcher[edit]

Adopted and raised by a pack of Minotaurs in the Gold Coast wilderness, this Imperial Stamina Sorcerer relies on the Morihaus set to stun packs of enemies and the Eternal Hunt set for damage while performing incredible feats of battle gymnastics.

The Zookeeper[edit]

A master of beasts and tamer of all the creatures of Tamriel. The Zookeeper commands an army of loyal minions to fight for them, dealing devastating burst damage to enemy players and monsters. This build is aimed at those who fight in the Alliance War; however, it performs great for overland content too.

The Warded Guardian[edit]

Meet The Warded Guardian, a Magicka-based Sorcerer tank. Magicka-based Sorcerers are known for being very flexible, and this build is no exception. As a tank, your goal should always be to become completely self-sufficient and “retire the healer as a DPS." If you like the sound of a tank like that—one that is end-game ready, consider The Warded Guardian.

The Dragon Legionary[edit]

Nazg is a typical Orc: strong, fierce, and always up for a fight. As a true-born mercenary, his story starts when serving in the Aldmeri Dominion army as a sellsword. He finds himself fighting Daedra and the armies of other alliance players on the narrow streets of the Imperial City. You can meet him, too... just search for the biggest fights within the city, or follow the scorched remains of Daedra and soldiers in the sewers who tried to stop him!

The Flame Listener[edit]

Time has not been kind to this Dark Elf Dragonknight. Hungry and weak, he wanders the lands of Tamriel as an old hermit. Despite his old and weak body, a Dunmer never forgets the true power within—the strength to manipulate fire. The old Dark Elf was widely known for his talents, and the people of Tamriel called him the “Flame Listener" which was translated from his Dunmer name “Lacha Lahathron." Some stories herald him as a shaman to his people, others tell of a great and powerful force. But all stories tell of his great and mighty burning fire and how it spread throughout the lands, striking fear into those who bore witness to his power.

The Numidium Reborn[edit]

Most Tamrielic scholars believe that Lord Kagrenac was the most powerful magecrafter in the history of the Dwemer. It was he who discovered the Heart of Lorkhan, and he who crafted the tools required to manipulate the divine power of the heart. Kagrenac used this heart to create The Numidium, the most powerful weaponized Dwemer automaton ever constructed. I have uncovered the secrets of the heart's energy and have drafted plans for crafting and imbuing the requisite equipment and training you to harness its unfathomable power. I give you The Numidium Reborn.

The Unstoppable Force[edit]

Many years have passed since the beginning of this Redguard's journey. With the mindset that any challenge can be taken if you wield the correct skillset, the Unstoppable Force was born. Hours and hours of training and perfection created this well-oiled machine. This Dragonknight cannot be stopped.

The Shadowscale[edit]

Today, I present to you "The Shadowscale." This build provides a perfect blend of burst- and sustained-DPS—it's also a lot of fun! Your enemies will fall faster than you can say "Hail Sithis."

For those of who haven't played an Elder Scrolls game before, a Shadowscale is a member of the Argonian race born under the sign of the Shadow. Shadowscales are raised their entire life as assassins in tribute to Sithis, Daedric Prince of Death and patron deity of the Argonians. This build follows those traditions to the full extent that the game allows.

The Unstoppable Juggernaut[edit]

This Dragonknight build requires a substantial amount of player skill, but those who master it reap the rewards. This build is capable of outlasting PvP opponents in 1v1 or 1vX scenarios, while also supporting teammates in small-scale PvP encounters.

The Howling Temple[edit]

A wolf forged from blood and stone.

Forged in the darkest parts of Cyrodiil, raised by wolves, the Howling Temple was born. With a blade forged from blood and a bow carved from the intensity of combat, the Howling Temple fights a worthy battle. Armed with the spirit and ferocity of the wolf, this Templar takes advantage of his pack to become a rampaging killing machine. First to follow, first to fight: the Howling Temple is the bane of many.

The Bloodleach Slayer[edit]

No more running around, no more hiding...don't even waste time blocking. This cutting-edge new take on Nightblade tanking will have you standing toe-to-toe with your enemies, swinging blow-for-blow, and holding your own. Your enemies won't willingly offer up their life—rip it from them, screaming. Blood begets blood, and blood must be paid.

The Daedric Master[edit]

The Daedric Master is a unique spin on an uncommon archetype—the Sorcerer Tank—that uses synergistic abilities to essentially win fights through attrition. As the Daedric Master stands resolute, his powerful summoned Daedra win him the day. Amidst the heat of battle, he is capable of providing some moderate healing of his own. He is a one-man team, adept at fielding three summoned Daedra at a time while also providing his own area-of-effect support.

The Infernal Dragon[edit]

Storm the planes as dragonfire incarnate!

Scorched earth and hot ash mark the passage of my Imperial Dragonknight, who focuses her incredible talents to rain blazing infernos on everything in her path. Relentless as a force of nature, she feeds on the vital life forces of her foes while inundating them with waves of searing heat. In the midst of her fiery carnage, she also enhances herself and allies with mystical protections to ensure complete domination.

Infernal Dragons utilize the innate toughness and fire enhancing abilities of the Dragonknight to become a fearsome area damage dealer. Yet she has much more to offer than just deadly force—the Infernal Dragon can also use her draconic power to encase allies in multiple layers of protective shells. By melding Support and DPS roles, this blazing siren quickly becomes the bane—and boon—of any battlefield.

The Aedric Warden[edit]

"Through Service, We Find Purpose."

Many who worship and preach the word of the Divines dwell as priests within the safe confines of church walls, or travel in the escort of a companion or caravan. They preach their word in cities and villages with relative comfort. Some even strap on heavy armor and wield massive weapons going on to fight on the front lines as Crusaders and Holy Warriors—Knight Templars who seek to inspire their comrades.

Then there are those who devote themselves to traveling the world as a warrior, not a knight. They spread the word through action as a cleric, but are not priests or preachers. They walk the shadows, but are neither thieves nor assassins. These Templars are unique in their approach to serving the light, for it is within their own power to be equal parts as open-minded as Stendarr's Mercy and as sharp as Meridia's Sword. They train and live their lives with one goal in mind: Guard the living world of Nirn against the darkness and dangers of undead and evil Daedra.

These are the Aedric Wardens. Whether they worship the Divines directly, or serve the goodness of the Holy Light through Daedric Princes and benevolent intentions, these men and women are Tamriel's first line of defense. Together they protect all of Nirn against the evils and plagues of darkness that seek to consume her as they watch over Man and Mer alike.

An Aedric Warden is a DPS Templar build that serves as a multi-role fighter would in a battle, but with a more destructive edge. It allows for both melee and ranged damage dealing with a spot of support here and there through the use of Dawn's Wrath and Aedric Spear skills.

The Aedric Warden build relies on first creating your character from any race with a Stamina-boosting passive, such as a Redguard, an Imperial, or a Wood Elf. The specifics are as follows:

The Shadow Striker[edit]

From the deepest depths of the shadow realm comes the assassin who strikes with deadly precision. Meet Night Dreadheart, a vampire whose thirst for blood is not easily sated.

Utilizing the Nightblade's shadow magic, as well as his own dual-wield mastery, the Shadow Striker is a vital threat on the battlefield and dungeons alike. Striking with Ambush from the shadows, only to dispatch his foes with Surprise Attacks, Rapid Strikes, and Killer's Blade. If need be, the Shadow Striker will masterfully vanish from the naked eye with Shadowy Disguise, confusing his enemies and securing a critical hit on his target.

Unlike many of his fellow comrades upon the battlefield, the Shadow Striker wastes no effort on the defense, but goes in on the full offense. Focusing completely on his stamina to sustain his damaging attacks, the Shadow Striker strikes down with deadly force, but will vanish from sight if reinforcement are to arrive.

If the crowd is too big, and fire is flung through the air with ease by the enemy, the Shadow Striker will assist his fellow comrades in dire need of help in the defense. Taking a stance with his bow, the Shadow Striker will pick-off his opponents at range.

But most importantly, the Shadow Striker uses the shadows to his advantage, utilizing the gift of Vampirism to further aid his movement through the darkness.

The Thunderous Protector[edit]

The Thunderous Protector is a Sorcerer tank who strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies. Shielded by heavy armor and lightning, he can take a lot of damage without flinching. On top of that, the Thunderous Protector carries a restoration staff, which comes in handy when someone needs emergency heals. Although this build was designed for group content, it works perfectly when running solo as well, because the heavy armor and defensive buffs provide a lot of survivability, the restoration staff allows you to self-heal, and the Overload ultimate provides good firepower.

The Infernal Warden[edit]

Unlike his Dragonknight brethren, who stand as strong damage dealers and tanks, the Infernal Warden uses his mastery of the elements to protect, shield, and heal his allies as they do battle. He is an accomplished healer, standing in the top tier of Nirn's cleric class, and he's protected his allies from every danger—from Craglorn's Sanctum Ophidia and Veteran Dragonstar Arena through Auridon's Banished Cells. He uses his resourceful abilities and leadership to overcome all challenges.

To accomplish this, he uses the mythic Way of Martial Knowledge found throughout Cyrodiil's Dolmens and Craglorn's delves to enhance his magicka and spell damage, and he relies on the Dragonstar Arena's Legendary Healer's Habit set to sustain his healing and bolster it past his normal limits. The Infernal Warden is also an avid student of the constellation The Ritual, as it increases his healing abilities even further.

Unlike his Templar colleagues, who blindly spam their Breath of Life technique to heal in difficult times, the Warden skillfully uses Igneous Shield and Structured Entropy, which provide increased healing and spell damage, while conjuring the spells of Mutagen, Healing Ward, and Healing Springs to protect his brethren from falling even in the most desperate situations.

While not in his healing role, the Infernal Warden debuffs the opposition with Elemental Drain and pulls them in close with Extended Chains before draining their life force and bolstering his own magicka with Draw Essence. This is then rotated with Healing Springs to provide a constant source of damage and healing for the group.

To support this type of magicka use, he sports the Master Restoration Staff (Infused) and Master Ice Staff (Infused) which he claimed as rewards for having defeated the Veteran Champion of Boethiah in Craglorn's Dragonstar Arena. The Master Ice Staff has become a very useful tool, as it provides a cheaper version of the useful skill Destructive Reach, which he uses to freeze dangerous foes in place to allow time for the damage dealers to react.

For his ultimate abilities, he either can call on his Mages Guild training in bringing down a passing star to incinerate his opposition or shield his allies with a massive damage shield that provides magicka and ultimate when it expires. As an added benefit, the Shooting Star ultimate provides two-percent magicka regeneration and a two-percent max magicka buff, while Replenishing Barrier provides a five-percent magicka regeneration buff. He will cycle as needed between his healing and support bars. The Infernal Warden's Battle Roar passive also rejuvenates his own resources each time one of these abilities are used, producing nearly endless magicka and other resources

The Undaunted Guardian[edit]

Meet the Undaunted Guardian, an Imperial Templar Tank built for sustainable group tanking, buffs, area DoTs, and backup healing. My character goes by the name of “Unlikely Hero," but don't let the name fool you—I've built this character to be the saving grace for any group content you may face. If you are looking to build a Templar tank who is truly undaunted in the face of enemies but also serves as the guardian and protector of the group—all while holding aggro—then this supportive tank build is for you.

Utilizing a sword and shield along with the bow, I've managed to create a potent and sustainable tank build. This build is about technical fighting and mastering the use of weapon swap. I intentionally set out to make this build for Veteran group content, but the build is achievable from levels 30-40, which is why I am presenting you with a build non-Veterans can use to prepare for any upcoming Veteran content. I want players to have an obtainable build for before they hit Veteran Ranks.

This build has allowed me to solo more things than I thought possible, but keep in mind this is not a DPS build. I wanted to make something for group content, and I also wanted to mix things up and throw in a bow instead of the popular choice of restoration staff.

Werewolf from the North[edit]

From the coldest parts of Skyrim comes the adventurer who was born to survive. Meet Ulfvaldr, a Werewolf from the North. The blood of the beast gives him the ability to handle small armies by himself. You may think he is a lonely warrior in the field, but you'd be wrong. After several years of serving in the military, he developed a sense of leadership. Put him in a group with several warriors and they will be unstoppable.

Ulfvaldr is the kind of friend you want to group with. His skills balance taking and dealing damage, making him a special kind of soldier. He can handle all solo and Public Dungeons on his own. Give him just one healer and he could conquer Group Dungeons, too! And when he teams up with his friend The Daedric Monk (featured earlier), even Veteran Dungeons become quite possible to beat.

Let's take a closer look at what makes Ulfvaldr a force to be reckoned with.

Thunderous Destroyer[edit]

The Thunderous Destroyer is the embodiment of the saying "the best defense is a good offense." Armed with thunder, steel, and arrows, it is a sturdy fighter capable of inflicting massive amounts of damage while effortlessly staying alive.

The focus of this build is to inflict critical damage to your enemies while keeping Critical Surge up so that every time you crit, you get 65% of the damage as health. Your main source of damage is stamina, but don't be afraid to increase magicka for some useful Sorcerer skills. The best race selection would be any that is stamina-oriented, such as the Redguard or the Imperial, but choose the race/alliance you're most comfortable with.

The Berserker[edit]

My character is a Khajiit Nightblade in the Aldmeri Dominion named M'asad Lynx. While he has gone through many different iterations and builds throughout his career, I've finally settled on what I like to call the Berserker build. This build is all about seeing red and swinging the biggest weapon you can find. Berserkers are famed for their reckless approach to combat, relying on brute strength and boundless rage to carry them through to victory.

This is mostly a weapon-focused build, and it relies heavily on stamina. Nightblade class abilities are used as supplementary boosts in combat for self-healing and further bolstering the Berserker's damage. My Berserker wears seven pieces of medium armor and gears as much as possible for maximum critical chance, weapon damage, stamina, and health. Nightblade passives grant fairly large boosts to stamina recovery, critical chance, and critical damage, all of which help the Berserker along.

Blood Knight[edit]

The Blood Knights—soldiers with no names. Born in the fires of Cyrodiil, these knights lust for combat, glory, and blood. From an early age, they learn to bend the will of the world around them, harvesting the essence of the dead. They become masters in deception, blood magic, and deadly killing arts. Only those born of holy houses may walk this path, for only the holy can withstand the darkness. They are thrown into combat at a young age, and many do not survive training. They are taught to kill with any weapon, and fight on no matter how close to death they come.

Blood Knights train in a proud and secretive guild where they learn to fight any opponent, memorizing every exploitable weakness and, in time, becoming warriors of legend. They are most agile and deadly skirmishers, feared for their speed. They attack without quarter or mercy, slinging deadly poison-tipped arrows into their opponents. Once their target is weakened, they close in for the kill. The blade of a Blood Knight is forged from the blackest steel, hammered to an edge sharp enough to cut a man in half effortlessly.

A Blood Knight moves like the wind, never in one place too long, always getting behind their prey for the killing blow. They are holy assassins with tainted hearts, the most feared in all of Tamriel

The Blood Knight is a stamina-based burst build meant for carnage in Cyrodiil. While it has incredible combo-based burst damage and the ability to kill a target within seconds, this build is also sustainable in prolonged combat. It excels at fighting slow opponents who will hold their shields high, and even more so against opponents who wear robes and little armor. Medium armor is the perfect fit for a fast and agile knight who wields a bow for utility and a deadly greatsword for execution. The Blood Knight also displays impressive regenerative power, always ready for more combat within a few seconds of their last encounter.

The playstyle of this build is fast-paced and can require some practice. The idea is to maintain superior mobility over your opponents, making you a hard target to pin down or focus. When the opportunity appears, this build comes down with deadly burst damage capable of killing some opponents within a couple seconds.

Lightning Priest[edit]

My name is Shade! My goal when joining this game was to figure out how to create an effective build. I tried many different class and race combos and stumbled upon this. Now it's pretty typical—a Breton Sorcerer—but I wanted to figure out how I could maximize my abilities as a DPS. I wanted a build that was seemingly effortless to use because of the power it packed. So the build itself is simple, but there is a secret. It's self-sustaining! Here's how:

The Bastion of Night[edit]

Floki is a proud warrior from the north who's been seeking out the greatest challenges in Tamriel since he was just a boy. He’s always thrown himself into any fight he could, not caring whether he was outmatched and never stopping to rest. He originates from a family that has been associated with Templars for generations. Day after day, steel clashed with steel as he trained with his brother, a staunch devotee of the Aedra. Over the years, Floki grew to become a formidable warrior. He offered his services to King Jorunn and proved himself to be a skilled warrior, full of ferocity and always determined to win.

Right before every battle, Floki slammed his sword into the ice—both a ritual and a symbol for his enemies. “I am as cold as my steel! No mercy! I shall steal your warmth and leave your blood frozen on the snow!” he yelled at his foes as he charged towards them, so his brothers in arms started to call him Floki Iceblade.

Once, Floki fell suddenly ill. A shadow consumed him, and he fought against himself for weeks to defeat the darkness that tried to devour his soul. All the years of Floki walking in the light of the Aedra now paid off. His faith alone empowered him to defeat the evil he battled.

Upon recovery, his mind didn't bear a single scar, but remnants of the shadow he battled flowed in his veins. He bent this shadow to his will, becoming a warrior with power over his own darkness, a Bastion of Night.

Floki Iceblade is a Nord Nightblade from the EU Megaserver who concentrates on withstanding prolonged fights with continued resource regeneration. He achieves this through life siphoning as well as magicka- and stamina-regenerating attacks.

With his heavy armor, he's an unmovable rock as he drains his enemies’ life-giving essence. His trusty sword and shield are permanent companions and an absolute must, for protecting yourself and your comrades from the dangers of Tamriel. Should a situation become less intense, he's got his sword and a dagger as well, to strike down more of his foes.

But let's have a closer look how this stout warrior is built:

Fallen Shield of Meridia[edit]

The best defense is a good offense—except when it comes to my character! He's all defense and support, a healing tank. I'm talking about a group loadout of three DPS and this build. This setup has allowed my groups to clear Upper Craglorn dungeons and bosses with lightning speed. Teamspeak and magicka potions are vital. Food buffs are recommended.

My character is a Breton Vampire Templar. He's a magicka and health based build in full light armor. He uses a one-handed weapon and shield along with a restoration staff.

Daedric Monk[edit]

Meet Sorcerer Tsandie, your best friend—or worst nightmare. She is a monk, and will always help her allies in tough battles. But don’t let her serene demeanor fool you; those who are senseless enough to get on her bad side will learn what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a Daedric rage! And her loyal friend Klann, a Clannfear, is always there to help. As she says, "Lesser Daedra are so obedient and loyal; how can anyone hate them?"

Utilizing both a restoration staff and a destruction staff, this character build allows me to solo almost everything, and in a reasonable amount of time. Solo dungeons? Never a problem. Dark Anchors? Daedra regret the day they decided to fall from the sky. World bosses? Not even a sweat. I solo my way through public dungeons with holy flame and Daedric curses, and even many group dungeons are within my grasp, save some of the high-level Veteran Dungeons. While this Khajiit radiates light and heals allies with the restoration staff, she can also banish enemies to eternal darkness with an inferno destruction staff.

So let’s get into ability bars:

Spellsword[edit]

Part mage. Part warrior. All powerful. His father a decorated swordsman and Indoril house noble, his mother an Ashlander fire shaman, Ashur-nadin-apli is a true spellsword by birthright. Wielding both blade and flame as natural extensions of his body, Ashur brings plenty of heat to the battlefield. Make no mistake, though, this pyromage is no glass cannon.

Radiant Bastion[edit]

Both a tanking bastion and a radiant healer, this Templar build has consistently won the day in PvE dungeons and delves, and with slight variation it has been quite effective in PvP, as well. This tank build is a strong counter to dark magic and shines against large groups of foes in addition to providing quick resurrections even in the midst of chaotic fighting.

Let's dive right into the bar setups, where each ability plays a unique and crucial role:

Blue Flame Battlemage[edit]

Noerra Dor-Seran, a Dunmer Dragonknight, is my main character on the EU megaserver. Her life has always revolved around the element of fire: orphaned at a young age, she was taken in and raised by an Evermore blacksmith who discovered her extraordinary talent for flame magic. Noerra took up education in the Mages Guild early and focused her studies on the mastery of all magic that burns, singes, and incinerates whoever and whatever gets in her way. She is the living embodiment of the motto "Fight fire with fire, and everything else with even more fire."

Her two skillsets, damage-dealing and healing, both focus on the restoration staff. "Why restoration staff for a DPS build," you ask? It's because of the amazing passive ability Cycle of Life, which increases ALL damage you deal by up to 10% depending on your current health percentage. And seeing as the bulk of Noerra's damage output comes from spells and only a tiny fraction from weapon attacks, the restoration staff is a superior choice over a flame one.

Let's have a closer look at the build:

Lightning Tornado[edit]

My name is Deltia, and I set forth to create a unique build for the Sorcerer class. While working on my second Veteran Ranked character, I began delving into Sorcerer melee and self-healing, only to discover a devastating combination.

The idea of the build is to rush into combat, draw as much attention as possible, and start letting out devastating area damage that heals you. The more people around you, the easier it is to stay alive. Plus, you have the ability to escape, heal, regenerate resources, and fight on. Utilizing class abilities and dual wielding, the Sorcerer can be a nasty self-healing juggernaut, and here’s how:

Dragonknight Reaver[edit]

Hello, this is Xsorus from the Bash-O-Matic and Meh-O-Matic video series. Here is a detailed description of the build I'm currently running on my Dragonknight. I don't really have a snazzy name for it, but a friend who viewed my videos and doesn't play the game described it best as basically the Reaver from Dark Age of Camelot (I tend to agree), so we'll go with "Dragonknight Reaver."

Agile Tiger Tank[edit]

Move like the butterfly, sting like the bee, and endure like the oak tree!

My character is a Khajiiti Templar named Asrial Solara. She is heavily-armed and wears leather as strong as steel but light as a feather (a five-piece Hist Bark outfit that gives 230+ poison resist and 200 dodge when blocking). Her armor is enchanted with lots of health bonuses, and a bit of magicka. She started out as an archer until she stumbled on a pair of exquisite blades in her teens, which is when she became a spear-charging, spot-healing flurry of sharpened steel! When she grew more experienced and discovered the means to create Hist Bark armor, her tanking side was born. She sought out the Mundus Stone of the Lady for an additional armor boon and started crafting Divines traits into her gear. Armed with a Defending Mace of Shielding, she cracks skulls while keeping her allies alive by being their shield, actively charging around the battlefield taunting and jabbing foes.

Asrial normally adventures using primarily dual-wielding-focused skills combined with secondary bow and healing skills. When it’s time to delve dungeons with allies, out comes her shield as she switches to skills meant to make her the center of attention as long as possible so everyone else can focus on healing or slaying. Asrial is my Agile Tiger Tank!

The True Assassin[edit]

A True Assassin can kill a target from a distance or from right behind its back using any available resource. I am Caminator and I am a Nightblade. I don’t focus on magicka or stamina exclusively, because I use them both equally. I consider both of my weapon choices to be my primary implements, and I switch between them as the situation demands. For my first weapon set, I use a bow to take targets out from a distance, while for my second set, I dual wield daggers. I split up my attributes by my weapon set—my bow primarily uses stamina, and my daggers utilize magicka for my Nightblade abilities.

Both weapon sets are used to take out a single target. The only AoE abilities are my ultimate and silver shards, which is still meant for single target takedowns.

The Dreadnought[edit]

Fear nothing.

My character is an Orc Templar named Dreddnawt. He is heavily armed and armored, emphasizing pure survivability for himself and allies. The Dreadnought by itself has enough offense to cut through most encounters and quickly deal with bosses. In groups, Dreadnoughts can provide massive healing from the dead center of battle while fighting effectively in PvE and PvP.

Dreadnoughts are, first and foremost, healers. We preserve our allies and therefore do not focus as much on killing abilities. A mixture of a heavy armor core complimented by some light armor keeps magicka high while providing ample physical and arcane protection.

The Blood Rogue[edit]

Hello, my name is Elusid.

I'm a Breton born and raised in the city of Daggerfall. When I got the choice, I was sure I wanted to be a Nightblade. During the beta tests, I was more of a burst damage type of Nightblade; you know, lots of stamina, high damage but low defense—which means little to no survivability.

At launch, I wanted to change that. I tried a lot of different skills and tested on enemies which were mostly higher-level than I was at the time. I mixed all sorts of abilities and tried a lot of different tactics. After a month, I finally became the character I am now.

I like to call myself a Blood Rogue. I siphon health from my enemies to stay alive while dealing some nice damage. I wear a mix of heavy and medium armor: medium for sneak and stamina bonuses and heavy for defense. After all, why should I drain HP when I don't have the defense to keep it? I'm using dual wielding mostly (I prefer swords) and use a bow when in a group or if I need to kill something from a distance. I've also got some skill with the restoration staff, but I don't use it very often.

By the way, I chose Breton just because I used to be a Breton in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and I liked their passives. Also I wanted to experience their culture—I really like the difference in cultures in The Elder Scrolls universe).

But enough about me; let me tell you about the skills and tactics I use.

The Storm Conduit[edit]

This is a build that I use on my High Elf Sorcerer named Alenric. I made the character with the intent to show a friend of mine that a mage can be effective even if they are not wearing robes. Alenric wears heavy armor and wields a massive two handed sword. He uses the giant two-hander as a lightning rod of sorts to superpower his attacks. However, because he is a storm-calling mage, even baddies at range can't escape his statically-charged fury.

The Dragonknight Healer[edit]

During beta, I tried different builds and the one I liked most was a Dragonknight with a restoration staff. I'm an ESO adept but an MMO noob, and my build philosophy is to do whatever feels cool and interesting.

Fenemi is an Altmer Dragonknight healer who is also a woodworker, a smith, and a clothier. She is currently V1 and uses light armor with a few heavy armor pieces for extra durability. She usually wears crafted Song of Lamae set, but at the moment she simultaneously has a Magicka Furnace set. Though her build may be missing some of the advantages of Templar and Sorcerer healing, you give her a call if you need a healer that is sturdy and really hard to kill.

The Thunder Thief[edit]

My Altmer, Osartos Saturo, is a Sorcerer that doesn't care about staves and robes. Even though he has the ability to use the incredible forces of the Destruction school, this Mer still likes to taste his enemy's blood, and to do so he uses two blades and medium armor to keep speed in his melee attacks. When things get tough, he can dodge and use the power of storms to fry his foes.

While he may lack the caution of the thief and the untouchability of the sorcerer, he combines the massive damage-dealing of both, killing multiple enemies in the blink of an eye with explosions and dual-wielding skills, which are very effective in his solo career. He obviously doesn’t prefer to tank, so he needs to deal with his enemies fast. In tough group dungeons, he needs backup from a healer and someone to keep the monsters' attention.

The Resto Warrior[edit]

I built my character to be like my Skyrim (and, well, Oblivion) character that I enjoyed so much. He was a two-handed, heavy-armored warrior with Restoration magic. Obviously, the Templar was my pick in this. While both of my action bars are mainly DPS, I focus my hero on being able to dish out decent damage and provide group support.

The Shadow Knight[edit]

I use my Nightblade heavily focused on tanking. While it lacks the crowd control of the Dragonknight or Sorcerer and the area of effect of the Dragonknight and Templar, my build makes up for it in longevity and sustainability. Leeches and life taps keep some pressure off of my healer without being the resource hogs of the other classes’ survivability skills. Ensuring that I don't lose focus by choosing between damage, aggro control, resource management, or survivability skills, my tanking bar skills perform multiple functions.
