Welp; just a little stuff here to a) inform you of who I am (as it relates to UESP and TES games), and 2) get rid of that red link in my signature. ;)

I'm pushing middle age and have been playing computer games for...ow...thirty years now. I've also been playing Pen & Paper RPGs for about the same length of time, so it's kind of a natural that I gravitated towards Bethesda Softworks' games.

With respect to any level of 'exploration' in a game, I'm a completest - must map everything, must go to every screen on a side-scroller, etc. As such, I find the UESP wiki an indispensable resource, and because I have an overdeveloped conscience, I am self-obligated to help and contribute in exchange for the assistance the wiki has given me.

I'm a bit of a grammar pedant (or "Grammar Nazi™" if you prefer), but I'll usually withhold any criticism of others...unless I can do so in such an over-the-top way that no offense is taken and everyone involved is amused by it. :)

As for interests, I'm a fairly voracious reader, usually of sci-fi and fantasy of varying quality. (invariably have a book beside the keyboard for those long loading screens, or when Oblivion decides to crash and has to be restarted) Clarke, Asimov, Pohl, Niven, Pournelle, Harrison, Anthony, Drake, Weber, Ringo,

I'm also an aficionado of comedy and humour, especially satire; George Carlin always will have a 'guru' place in my heart, as well as Dennis Miller & Leary, Billy Connolly, Gallagher, Monty Python, etc. (heck, I met my future wife on the USENET newsgroup <alt.fan.monty-python>!). This is to warn you of potential references or allusions I make. :)

Those individuals that manage to merge these two interests of sci-fi/fantasy and humour hold a special place in my heart; Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett...what else can I say?

Anyways, hope this information is of help to someone!
