History

Adin Oresus was born into a noble Stros M'Kai family. His father was Cartan Oresus, and Adin was the result of a one-night stand during one of his famous parties.

Adin's early life was peaceful, but at the age of four he was sent to a family friend, Kagekus Saorus, a master bladesman and proficient magician. In his small estate on the Cyrodiil-Elsweyr border, Kagekus taught Adin the arts of swordsmanship, warfare, magic, stealth and the subtleties of conversation. He also schooled the boy in the normal curriculum subjects.

Every summer, Adin went home, where he helped his father with the family business - managing a chain of warehouses-for-hire and port general stores. At fifteen, Adin surpassed most adults with blade, tongue, spell and wit.

When Adin was twenty, he discovered that his father, Kagekus and several people Adin had grown up knowing, were part of an order, much like the Blades, but older and more diverse, that defended Tamriel from dangers outside and inside. He was offered the choice to join, and accepted.

Adin was given the common rank of Sleeper, which meant that he could get on with his life while still gathering information, which was virtually the currency of the order, and searching for potential threats. He was assigned to Cyrodiil, and became the order's premier agent in that province, with fourteen others reporting to him.

He moved into his by then semi-retired master's very spacious home on the border in 3E430, and conducted his operations in the Imperial Province from there. His successful missions include flushing out a rogue marauder in a ruined fort using only his blade and a length of rope, escorting an informant from Mournhold to Chorrol through the wilderness, and defending the ancient stronghold of his order, located in far eastern Hammerfell, from attack by its enemies.
