Jonuni Amatius

Jonuni Amatius, an Imperial noble, is a painter living in Amatius Manor. He seems to be having problems with his wife and since he is incapable of doing it himself, you are to salvage their marriage in the related quest.

Jonuni leads a relaxed and laid back lifestyle, supposedly to keep his mind open for artistic inspiration. After waking up at 9am, he strolls around his mansion before eating a two hour meal in the dining room. From 2pm to 11pm he will be found on the ground floor, in deep thought, pondering on the subject of his next painting. On Turdas, between 2pm and 6pm he will accompany his wife to the chapel to pray. As with most Stirk citizens, he will gather to watch the fire that will burn down the chapel, powerless to stop it.

Living in Stirk means you've got be wealthy, and Jonuni's attire leaves no doubts: a blue silk shirt, matching pants and a pair of blue suede shoes. He also carries the house key and a good amount of gold coins.

When first met, he will greet you by saying, "Jonuni Amatius. I'm a painter. I hope you've enjoyed our beautiful island, it gives me inspiration." He doesn't like to believe that him and his wife are having any tensions; when asked about them he will angrily tell you: "Selvia and I are just fine, thank you. Don't believe silly rumors." Only when you have brought him three items will admit to his faults and sigh, "Oh, alright, I admit it. Our marriage hasn't been perfect. I just didn't know what to do; I've never been good at this kind of thing."

His confession may have been spontaneous, but you'll learn of his character from a few of Stirk's townsfolk. "Jonuni never knows what to do about anything,", "Jonuni's got his head in the clouds, no idea how she feels," and "Jonuni doesn't know what to do about it anymore," make it clear as to what people think.

Amatius Manor is found in Stirk's residential district, next to Eulius Manor and across the street from the Eulius Brothers' Book Store. The ground floor mainly serves as a dining area, while the first floor holds the living quarters. The Amatius' profession is obvious upon entering the house: a stand, palettes, brushes, fresh canvases and scrapped creations can be found everywhere. The dining area consists of two tables laden with food, in particular the only portions of diced carrot and brussel sprouts found on Stirk. To the left is a cozy sitting area with a fireplace. Testament to their life as painters, beautiful paintings of Stirk and Anvil adorn the first floor. The bedroom consists of a double-bed, a cupboard containing up to eight pieces of upper clothing and two drawers with up to six pieces of upper clothing each. A jewelry box holding up to four pieces of jewelry (one enchanted; 10%) and a potion (25%) is found on the small table next to the bed.
