Skyrim talk:Nightingale Sentinel
Not a Faction[edit]
This page is being linked to as if "Nightingale Sentinels" is the name of the faction. I can't find anything to support this. As far as I'm aware, the faction is simply referred to as the "Nightingales", or more correctly the "Nightingale Trinity" (another name which I can't find direct support for, but which is logically sound). This page is for the ghostly sentinels who are encountered as enemy NPCs. Linking here is the equivalent of redirecting the Compaions article to Skyrim:Companion Ghost. I'm not about to start removing all the links without consensus, in case I missed a previous discussion on this or if someone has any input now. Even if "Nightingale Sentinel" is the true name for the faction, this page should be turned into a disambig asap - it seems foolish to have no faction article for them, when we have such strange pages as The Circle and the Synod. If no one has a problem with this, please let me know so that I can create a faction stub and start changing the links. --Legoless 13:36, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
- "Nightingale Sentinels" are a group too, former Gallus 0x0001bb5d has the dialogue "The last of the Nightingale Sentinels, ...", but it isn't really a faction one can join before death it seems. The term "Nightingale Trinity" seems to be used only once, in a dialogue by Karliah ("Gallus, Mercer Frey and I were once members of what's known as the Nightingale Trinity."). In the end I think "Nightingales" would be the best title for the faction, it seems to be the name used most often, both in books and dialogues. --Alfwyn 16:45, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
Sentinel RefID[edit]
There are 5 different sentinel present in the sepulcher, each with its own unique RefID. It appears, though, that the RefID is the only unique thing about them. All of them carry identical equipment. The only other difference seems to be their gender (3 female, 2 male). How should this info be listed on this page? --Xyzzy 19:18, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think the gender is preset. The five references are to LvlNightingaleMissile which use as template the list LCharNightingaleMissle. Looks like a 50/50 chance for each individual reference to me. --Alfwyn (talk) 15:52, 2 October 2012 (GMT)
