Lortheim's Revenge[edit]

I assassinated his wife Jora during a Dawnguard mission. He sent hired thugs after me, then later showed up himself in Riften with a dagger demanding an apology (with no less than four different "no, I won't apologize" dialogs before it made him hostile). I know hire thugs have always been in the game, but that's the first time anyone has shown up personally for revenge. --97.73.64.148 20:03, 1 February 2013 (GMT)

This sounds like "Apologize or combat" a world interaction that for some reason wasn't documented so far. But it can be seen in the CK as the "quest" WIAssault01. --Alfwyn (talk) 21:07, 1 February 2013 (GMT)

The name Lortheim[edit]

If the th is read not as the sound th but as a t and an h, in Norwegian the name Lortheim means dirt home. Lort: dirt or feces. Heim: home. As it does not give any extra meaning in the context of the game I believe it is accidental, and as such not meant as an Easter egg. —MortenOSlash (talk) 06:48, 3 February 2013 (GMT)

Lortheim's Hired Thugs[edit]

I was in Windhelm and the three Hired Thugs attacked me, with a contract from Lortheim. I haven't stole from the Temple of Talos, nor have I killed Jora, I don't think I've stolen anything (from Windhelm). Does Lortheim have any other family, or can the thugs have a randomly selected person to hire them?81.129.63.3 12:30, 5 September 2013 (GMT)

I also just got Hired Thugs sent by Lortheim even though I have not set foot inside the Temple of Talos. I stole from elsewhere in Windhelm--only Viola Giordano's house, if I recall rightly--so I suspect he may be erroneously set as the owner of stuff that's not actually in his "house." 69.250.248.247 05:08, 18 November 2014 (GMT)

Palace of Kings[edit]

Wiki page claims he never sets foot in the palace of kings but that's the only place I ever see him. So maybe it was a bug that he was ever in the temple? (going by his wife's complaint that's supposedly the bug). — Unsigned comment by 104.181.96.97 (talk) at 21:12 on 28 April 2010 (GMT)

What platform are you playing? If you play PC, do you have any mods or unofficial patches installed? —MortenOSlash (talk) 17:29, 4 March 2015 (GMT)
I think it is a bug, I got a mod installed that claims to remove all the bugs in the game and I just now find him in the palace
