Skyrim talk:Kayd
Invisibility?[edit]
While in Solitude, I used a flames spell on a low flying hawk to kill it. Shortly after, Kayd ran up to me and initiated forced dialogue. He asked if I was a wizard, and could I make him invisible. This happen to anyone else? Lord Irvine 21:50, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
- All Children have this dialogue. It is mentioned on the Child page. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 21:53, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Vilolent Child?[edit]
Once,in Solitude I started fighting all of the people there.I started by attacking the blacksmith, thats when Kayd pulled an Iron Dagger on me,he ran away though, allowing me to be slaughtered by the townsfolk. Is this a bug?I've never had this happen with any other kid before.I have a hunch though,he might have grabbed the dagger off of a table.Has anyone else had this happen before?--Skyrimplayer 17:10, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
- According to CSList, Kayd carries an iron dagger, helps allies (see 'Assistance'), and is considered to be an ally of Beirand (he's his son). So it's not a bug. ABCface◥ 03:34, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! That clears two things up for me.But what I don't understand is why don't other children put their fists up when I attack their relatives. Here's an example.Say I attack Carlotta, but Mila doesn't put up her fists. Is it unique to Kayd?I'll try this with other children.--Skyrimplayer 14:59, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Is there any chance that you hit him with a spell that raises Aggression or Confidence, such as Rally or Frenzy? That could cause an otherwise cowardly NPC to act more aggressive. --XyzzyTalk 15:13, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- No.--Skyrimplayer 15:35, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Just tested it again.Hit Kayd with my axe,and he drew his dagger but ran away, and no I did not use courage or Fury on him.--Skyrimplayer 14:59, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

(←) Maybe the difference is whether or not they have a weapon? I'm reaching now, I'm really not sure why this would be unique to him. =\ -ABCface◥ 17:27, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

- Hey!I just had an idea!Aventus Arentino has a dagger that he uses to perform the Black Sacrament.Right?I'll try attacking him to see if he'll draw his dagger.Or do you think that won't work?--Skyrimplayer 18:13, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
