Alduin dialogue?[edit]
The fact that Alduin comments on the weapon if it is in the hero's inventory seems noteworthy to me. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 20:22, 30 October 2013 (GMT)
- This quote has been brought up in a few discussions already, and I believe it was determined that it's actually a quote used when you use Dragonrend during the quest. — ABCface◥ 01:10, 31 October 2013 (GMT)
Leveled Statistics[edit]
The description says that the enchantment is depending on the level of my Dragonborn/character. Does that mean that Dragonbane levels with me (i.e. the enchantment gets better when reaching the minimum levels for the next better) or does only my current level matter in the second I find it? — Unsigned comment by 93.131.139.171 (talk) at 14:06 on 24 December 2013
- Dragonbane's level is determined once it is loaded for the first time. So if you enter Sky Haven Temple with level 17, you'll be stuck with the weakest version, even if you level up several times before finally picking it up. If you're playing on PC, you can use the console command
player.additem
with the respective ID (see table) to obtain a higher level version. -- SarthesArai Talk 20:04, 24 December 2013 (GMT)
Charge Usage[edit]
This is a "for what it's worth" kind of question, but has anyone else found that Dragonbane doesn't use any charges when used against non-dragon enemies? I used it extensively while carving my way through Blackreach on "Elder Knowledge"; a couple of dozen Dwemer constructs, uncounted Falmer, some Chaurus of various types, and a couple of Spiders without using any charges, although the +10 electricity damage seemed to be working just fine. But I had to recharge it a couple of times while fighting Alduin almost immediately afterward. Since my game is modded, the question is mainly aimed at figuring out whether the effect is vanilla or not. 68.207.127.192 03:16, 28 September 2014 (GMT)
Possible bug with charges?[edit]
When I was using Dragonbane, it's charges would go down much faster than I expected with a 99% reduction in cost. I have the highest leveled version and am on PS3, have all the official DLC, and nothing else. 172.12.96.55 17:54, 24 December 2014 (GMT)
Why is Dragonbane considered an artifact?[edit]
The artifact page says that to be an artifact the item in question must meet three requirements, one of which is a unique appearance. As far as I'm aware, Dragonbane's appearance is identical to the Blades Sword. Is there something I'm missing? 73.131.138.194 17:44, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
