Pictures[edit]

I think the pictures of the armor could be better done. The pictures have placed the models against a grey wall background and most of the armors are grey. — Unsigned comment by 204.176.49.45 (talk) at 18:57 on 29 February 2012

HAHA! I was thinking the same thing. — Unsigned comment by 71.123.205.9 (talk) at 05:21 on 21 March 2012

Level which appears?[edit]

Ok so I just finished Arcwind Point. I'm level 29 on Xbox and found a Dragonplate Helmet of Eminent Conjuring. Can anyone else confirm that levels that armor/weapons are supposed to appear are not completely fixed. Since I've found daedric and ebony already at earlier levels both enchanted and mundane. Lord EydvarTalk 02:18, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Dragonscale can show up starting at level 22, but Dragonplate can't show up until level 41. Are you certain it was Dragonplate and not Dragonscale? Vely►Talk►Email 00:37, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
Was it in a chest? Each chest has a designated level based upon the PC level with a modifier. Some boss chests are much higher than the PCs actual level; I've found Daedric armor in a chest while in the mid 20s before. It was probably due to something similar; there is a boss chest at Arcwind Point if I remember correctly.QuillanTalk 19:24, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
If lower level is true for Dragonscale, shouldn't the article be changed? (I just found D-scale at lvl 36.) Right now it says 40-something 71.237.110.92 20:37, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
I too just found a Dragonscale Helmet in a pretty ordinary looking chest in the Dwemer Ruin Mzinchaleft at level 32. AWC 3117 (talk) 04:19, 15 June 2013
I guess my above comment doesn't really change anything if Dragonscale can drop at lvl 22, but I now have further input: I just found a Dragonplate Shield in a boss chest. My level is 37. So that does change a few things. I also play on 360, so no mods are interfering. I would also like to point out that with the character i'm playing it seems like a lot of higher level loot is dropping while at lower levels, have no clue why though AWC 3117 (talk) 11:15, 15 June 2013 (GMT)
I just found a dragonplate chestpiece in the chest at Sojund's Sinkhole at level 38. — Unsigned comment by 184.39.171.53 (talk) at 05:29 on 28 June 2013

() The levels referred to in the article are for regular leveled lists (as the article states). As Quillan noted, boss chests can give items at higher levels than regular leveled lists. Sojund's Sinkhole has a boss chest, so this is likely the chest in which you found that chestpiece. Nothing needs to be changed. — ABCface 13:44, 28 June 2013 (GMT) I just wantend to say that i found a deadric chess plate enchanted with destruction cost 25% less to cass in a randon dragon chess

Tempering[edit]

The page says that the Dragon Armor perk doubles the temper bonus for the Dragonbone Weapons. However, when I finally got to 100 smithing and took the perk, enabling the ability to craft the weapons, it only tempered up to Flawless, with my bow showing damage of 69. Conversely, the Glass bow I had been using, if upgraded to legendary (having leveled up the light armor side) shows a damage of 65. While still technically an upgrade, these are tempers without any smithing enchants/potions active. I think that if I had come up the heavy armor side, a Daedric bow, when tempered even without any enchants/potions, would be straight up better then a Dragonbone Bow (Base damage of 19 vs 20). Conversely, I think that the same thing happens with the rest of the weapons. — Unsigned comment by 184.99.94.135 (talk) at 05:47 on 16 August 2012

—Edit: Disregard... the problem was with another mod that was installed. — Unsigned comment by 184.99.94.135 (talk) at 21:12 on 16 August 2012
Which mod was that?! Because I have the same problem! Beholder (talk) 21:15, 4 May 2014 (GMT)

Is it possible to find DG's dragonbone weapons in chests?[edit]

Or not? — Unsigned comment by 46.242.27.136 (talk) at 20:16 on 27 December 2012‎

Yes, after installing Dawnguard you can find dragonbone and dragonscale equipment in chests. — ABCface 00:48, 28 December 2012 (GMT)

Dragonbone axes' bleeding damage[edit]

I see both "Skyrim:One-handed" and "Skyrim:Two-handed" pages listed the bleeding damage for axe materials, and claim that "Dragonbone axes... do not benefit from this perk", but this is not entirely accurate: Dawnguard.esm assigned dragonbone material the same bleeding damage as daedric material; This modification, however, was overwritten by Dragonborn.esm when it modified all entries for the bleeding perk to have no effect on team mates.

The bleeding perk is actually six perks in CK: HackAndSlash30, HackAndSlash60, HackAndSlash90, Limbsplitter30, Limbsplitter60, and Limbsplitter90. Each of them contains eight entries, resulting in eight levels of bleeding damage according to different material keywords, with WeapMaterialDaedric on the top. Dawnguard.esm added DLC1WeapMaterialDragonbone to the same entry containing WeapMaterialDaedric, and Dragonborn.esm re-modified this entry by adding the target condition "GetPlayerTeammate 0", but with no way of add back DLC1WeapMaterialDragonbone into the weapon conditions.

Thus if DG is loaded without or after DB, the bleeding effect for dragonbone axes should work just fine. Although loading DG after DB is probably going to mess up more stuff.

Note to the UDGP team: My suggestion for fixing this bug is to create a separate entry for DLC1WeapMaterialDragonbone in all six perks, which should avoid this being overwritten by DB, though I haven't tried. I have trouble opening the UDGP bug reporting page since I'm in China, which is why I'm posting this here, and I'd appreciate it a lot if anyone reports this bug to the UDGP team for me. — Unsigned comment by Ysmiraak (talkcontribs) at 06:08 on 4 March 2015‎

EDIT: Apparently I was wrong. Adding separate entries in the perks won't stop them being overwritten. It seems like the only way to fix this problem is to create a new set of six perks for dragonbone axes. — Unsigned comment by Ysmiraak (talkcontribs) at 09:25 on 8 March 2015‎

Dragonbone sword loot?[edit]

On this other wiki http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dragonbone_Sword , It says that you can find dragonbone sword as loot on revered and legendary dragons, it also says that you can buy from blacksmiths once past level 46 and found as random loot around level 46.Is this actually True??? i have never found a single dragonbone sword in random loot or on dragons of any level and I have never seen it in a blacksmith selling it before , I am well past the level requirement.Werewolfvampirre (talk) 22:38, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

Dragonbone Sword Damage>>Dragonbone Greatsword Damage?[edit]

For some reason, I am seeing that a regular dragonbone sword does roughly double the attack vs a dragonbone greatsword. This also seems to be true of other types (ebony, daedric, etc). Is this normal or is this a result of one of my installed mods messing something up? Dgrissa (talk) 11:07, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Do you mean the damage stat the game states in the menu, or overall DPS from attacking an enemy for a little bit? Do you have any perks that would change weapon damage? What mods do you have installed? --AKB Talk Cont Mail 20:41, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
