Skyrim talk:Anniversary Edition
- If you bought the CC mods before the update, they do not enter your quest log on their own. You have to start each mods own quest-line, normally its activated by reading a book or note. --Maldini (talk) 00:34, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
Possible fix for the black screen bug
If you start a new game with mods installed, you could get this black screen bug with Skyrim Anniversary Edition when you reload the save. Black screen with only sound play. Restarting the game won't work either. Possibly only affects free mods. Creation club add-ons probably don't have this problem.
Temporary fix: Disable all mods before you start a new game. Use the mod manager like Vortex, go to plug-in section and disable all mods. Don't need to uninstall the mods. After you start a new game, follow Ralof or Hadvar into the keep. After they unbind you, make a save. Exit the game and re-enable all mods. From here on the game should work fine without black screen.
If you play it on existing Special Edition or Oldrim saves, possibly it should work without this bug. I have an 8 year-old oldrim save that work well without problem.
Someone can report this temporary fix to Bethesda QA. Maybe useful in helping the developers fixing the bug.
Skyrim Anniversary Edition feels like running smoother and faster than Special Edition. So I personally think well worth give it a try.
