Skyrim talk:A Farmer's Life For Me
Translation[edit]
Hi !
I saw that the Question page was missing so I created it.
But as my game is in French, I had to translate. So I hope it won't create too many inconsistencies.

Bug with selecting steward[edit]
Has anyone else who's completed this quest encountered a bug with the steward they selected not staying at the plantation? I appointed Faendal as my steward. I'm not sure where he's supposed to sleep, but he keeps walking away and returning to Riverwood. However, I still get dialogue with him for house upgrades, plantation upgrades, etc. Has anyone else experienced this as a Plantation bug? I know that Faendal can be scripted to follow Camilla, but in previous playthroughs with Hearthfire homes, he never returned to Riverwood to resume his routine. — Unsigned comment by Riliane (talk • contribs) at 04:11 on 22 December 2021 (UTC)
Firing (or Death) and Rehiring[edit]
So I believe someone on the wiki page concerning the plantation wanted to know if hiring a new farm-hand was doable if one of them dies. Well I can confirm that you CAN at least fire a farm hand and recruit another by talking to your steward.
You can also fire AND are-hire a steward if they were a follower as well. My steward was Golldir and I fired him to join me on a quest, then re-hired him when we got back to the plantation.
I’m going to do a bit more experimenting and add more if you can rehire a farmhand if you let them go or can hire a new one if there’s a death involved. I would imagine it would be the same as firing.
Apologies if someone confirmed this before. Yseult (talk) 22:58, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
Ok so my farmhands were Brenuin and Embry. I killed them outright and despite getting a bounty could still hire new stewards. You can also hire a new steward if the last one is killed. Yseult (talk) 23:18, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
