Background

Raelynne's family was attacked by vampires when she was a child, resulting in the death of her parents and her being infected with Sanguinaire Vampiris. She was only a few hours away from turning into a Vampire when she found the strength to make it to town and seek treatment. Since then, she's been constantly paranoid about ensuring she and her allies always have a cure on hand in case of infection by vampires or werewolves. Her brush with vampirism has colored her perspective, and she knows that there is a minority of vampires who only feed on willing or paid volunteers, which she hopes will not be targeted by their crusade against the clans of Skyrim. She also hopes to one day create a universal cure for Vampirism and Lycanthropy, but recent events have prevented her from devoting any time or resources to the idea.
