The Indoril Hireling is a Dark Elf traveler and member of House Indoril who can be encountered in the Telvanni Peninsula. He is being attacked by a Cliff Strider. You can kill it during the encounter, for which he thanks you, though you ultimately cannot save him from the next strider.

Dialogue

The random encounter involves an Indoril Hireling being intimidated by a Cliff Strider in the Telvanni Peninsula.

The hireling will cry out:

Indoril Hireling: "Help! Someone. Anyone!"

After you saved him, he will thank you but however another Cliff Strider swoops in and kills him:

Indoril Hireling: "You saved my life! Next time, I'll keep an eye out for cliff striders."

• The encounter is a reference to the high amounts of Cliff Racers in Morrowind that would swoop in and kill low-level players.
