Control the battlefield and take out your enemies! Your Area of Effect abilities have their damage increased by 50% / 65%.

This verse increases the damage of Area of Effect abilities. It is thus generally more useful during non-boss stages, since that is where AoE is most effective. However, since it applies to all AoE skills, if you are using more than one of them, it can be helpful with bosses as well, since you can stack them up. (And of course many bosses spawn minions, so it can help with that as well.)
