Partially blocked before cure for vampirism[edit]

In case you go here before receiving the quest to cure your vampirism, the area with Molag Grunda and her escort seems to be blocked by an amass of generic daedric ruin rocks. However, if you keep jumping into the wall of rocks from the middle section, you can slip through the roadblock. You'll have to get yourself out of there through some means of teleportation, though, ie. recall or intervention. Killing the two will give you the journal log, although you wouldn't have talked to the statue for the actual quest yet. Talking to the statue after killing the two does not, however, do anything - as long as you're not a vampire. I'll still have to check wether the quest gets broken or not if I turn into a vampire now and go chat with the statue. — Unsigned comment by 88.115.61.238 (talk) at 09:57 on 15 July 2008 (UTC)

The skeleton on the ledge had a Steel Spear when I was there, maybe it's just a random Steel weapon. RaphX 05:38, 13 February 2009 (EST)

Secret Loot?[edit]

I was rather disappointed with the lack there of of loot in this cavern, considering, until I finally did happen upon a stash that doesn't seem to be mentioned here. In the room where you encounter Molag Grunda and her consort, there's some kind of daedric structure with two floors and some chandeliers. If you use levitate and go up to it, you'll find several chests. The first floor has two chests (one locked: level 30, I believe) and an urn. The urn held a nice supply of scrolls and the chests held a daedric weapon and a decent amount of gold. Levitating to the next 'floor' of the structure yielded another chest (locked: level 35), in the far back, that held a nice assortment of enchanted weapons and rings, along with three common enough potions. Should this information be added to the article? Dirk 11:28, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Check the last sentence of the first note. I have no idea what it is talking about when it says "various potions that are helpful to explore" though. Maybe it means you need to levitate. You could probably re-write those two sentences. --Brf 14:03, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Levitation is just an all around good thing to have in this cavern. You can bypass all the waterways with it because there are holes in the walls that lead to the different areas. That and it brings you to the stash I was talking about earlier. My guess is no one noticed it before because they were saving the levitation potion you can take from the Altmer for when they had to get out. I'm adding a note to recommend bringing some levitation potions or a levitation spell to the cavern. Dirk 00:56, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
