Balyn Omarel[edit]

How come Balyn Omarel's house isn't on this list? I use his almost everytime I play. It's possible to use it before the Mephala quest, and after you complete it--you gain an non-disposable corpse for storage! Other perks include lots of storage, shelves, and roof access.

Hlaalo Manor[edit]

The Hlaalo manor says there is "1 small chest (lock level 65) hidden behind a tapestry at the top of the first set of stairs." I can't find this to save my life. Can I get some help?— Unsigned comment by ‎74.197.30.44 (talk) at 03:02 on 23 August 2014

Looking straight ahead while you're going up the very first set of stairs you can possibly go up (if you enter the house from its lowest level), look to your left and you should see some tapestry. Hidden behind this tapestry is a chest on a small ledge. It may be easier to reach it by first climbing the steps, turning around, and then jumping to your right onto the ledge behind the tapestry where the chest is located. Also about the chest, I'm having problems activating it. I can see the chest, but in no position I can put myself in does the game pop up with a "Small Chest (65)" or w/e and let me lock pick it. It's as if it's not there. I'm an Orc playing Game of the Year on Xbox (360). Am I being stupid, or is it possible it was dummied out in the GOTY release? -Abyssal (talk) 21:40, 24 September 2014 (GMT)
I just went in-game and was able to activate the chest. This being said, it was fairly difficult but still possible to do so without using TCL. The best strategy I found was to jump on the ledge and keep moving your cursor around and jumping until you finally see the game display the message about the chest. Levitation could help as well. In particular, I jumped on the corner of the ledge farthest away from the top of the stairs and was able to see the very corner of the chest. Make sure you have a high-quality lockpick or spell ready to unlock the chest as well, as you wouldn't want to lose your position when you go to wield either one of these.
