Lore talk:Reymon Ebonarm
Any relation to The Ebony Warrior?[edit]
I noticed some striking similarities between the two. The Ebony Warrior wields an ebony sword (in his right hand no less), wear ebony armor giving him that "black knight" appearance, he's a Redguard, seeking a worthy opponent, and he's incredibly powerful. So this made me wonder if the two had any relation, like if The Ebony Warrior was Ebonarm or perhaps just a devout follower. Does anyone have anything on this? — Unsigned comment by 76.25.16.136 (talk) at 02:24 on 2 May 2013
- There isn't anything to support them being the same besides some similarities. Nothing to show that they were intended to be the same. Jeancey (talk) 16:19, 5 May 2013 (GMT)

- My theory is that Redguards look like "black" people. Which are also called "Ebony". Ebony Warrior! But that's just a theory, a game theory. Thanks for reading. I have a question about Ebonarm as far as lore goes. It says he hates Daedras (excluding Sheogorath) and Stendarr, what about the other divines? Is this guy even a god at all or is he a lesser Talos, a god but not a true god like the others? Flinjager123 (talk) 15:12, 29 July 2013 (GMT)
Retconned[edit]
Ebonarm seems to be an abandoned concept. He hasn't been mentioned at all since Daggerfall. That in and of itself doesn't mean anything, but now Zenimax has actively omitted mentioning him in Daggerfall books which reappear in ESO (the only one I'm aware of at the moment is Memory Stone of Makela Leki, but there could be others). Anyways, we should note the retcon. Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 20:31, 26 March 2014 (GMT)
On second thought, we should entirely ignore the retcon. See here. For the Black Knight!! Minor EditsThreats•Evidence 13:45, 31 March 2014 (GMT)
- I've added a lightly worded note on the omittance, without jumping to any tasteless conclusions. —Legoless (talk) 03:03, 7 April 2015 (GMT)
Related to Azura or Boethia?[edit]
A Khajit myth mentions a vengeful spirit in the shape of a dark warrior that was born of Azurah's grief when Lorkhaj died in her arms. Boethia is known to have a relation to Lorkhan (teaching the Chimer the Phijic Endeavour, fighting at Lorkhan's side against several other divine beings, the Ebony Mail (ebony is said to be the blood of Lorkhan)), and to be all about combat (Ebonarm is a god of warriors). Both are known to be among the only deities to be able to summon the spirit in question (the third deity to be able to do so is Mephala).--92.114.148.141 14:58, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
