Lyg[edit]

Perhaps this bit of interesting info belongs somewhere on the wiki as OOG, but when asked about Lyg on the recent Reddit ask me anything, Michael Kirkbride stated:

Q: Is Lyg a former Kalpa's name for Tamriel?
MK: "Lyg: it's one of the Adjacent Places. It's still there. I wouldn't call it a different kalpa so much as a parallel version of Tamriel."

In addition to my original note, according to Kirkbride, Lyg seems to be an actual continent on Nirn as seen on a map released in Lady N's Tumblr. It also provides some additional scale of other provinces against Earth. All "unofficial" of course:

I don't think we should use it. I think we provide way too much emphasis on OOG content already and it should be scaled back, not added to. There are plenty of other sites that focus more heavily on the OOG content, while we are much more about in game, official and verifiable canon. Leave the OOG stuff to them while we focus on official stuff. Jeancey (talk) 21:57, 3 December 2013 (GMT)
I would not go as far to say details of this vague map should be noted in articles. Rather, I made these points are on the talk page for anyone interested in the OOG surrounding Lyg. Whether or not its "canon" is up to the reader, but MK's influence in the games after his departure from the company is undeniable. He wrote the Commentaries - if anyone is qualified to answer questions about them, it's him. Also, there is only really one other site that properly deals with OOG in article format - The Imperial Library. The rest are forums. --Jimeee (talk) 16:02, 6 December 2013 (GMT)
