Setting the Timeline[edit]

When I updated this page, I included this in the Notes section:

"It is unclear exactly when in the First Era that Jurgen lived. The most well-known defeat of the Nordic forces at Red Mountain was the Battle of Red Mountain circa 1E 700. However, the Nords had been driven out of Morrowind hundreds of years earlier, around 1E 416,[10] and the Five Songs of King Wulfharth suggests that the Greybeards already existed before Wulfharth's (first) death in 1E 533.[11]"

I've done something similar on several other pages. I don't think we've definitively stated on this wiki which battle Jurgen witnessed (except where I just said so on Lore:Battle of Red Mountain). Even though we don't have an explicit date from Bethesda, I don't believe it's necessary for us to remain vague; we can conclusively say he witnessed the 1E 416 battle and not the 1E 700 battle. Before I launch into a very long explanation of why this is so, do I need to? I mean, can are there any hold-outs who say we can't know for sure, or can we agree right off the bat that this is TES fact? Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 21:56, 14 March 2013 (GMT)

Update - After further discussion here, I'm going to start changing a few pages to more definitively assert that Jurgen Windcaller "went away humbled" from the 1E 416 battle and not the 1E 700 battle, unless there are any objections. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 01:23, 11 April 2013 (GMT)
