Race[edit]

As the Skyrim page points out, Gauldur's race is unspecified in the lore. Skyrim's game data says he's a Breton. His name and the names of his sons all sound Nordic to me. It's possible he was a Breton whose family had adopted the Nordic culture. Regardless, I've remained silent on the matter for now. I imagine we could continue to ignore it, assume he's a Breton/Nord, or add a note about the issue. Up to you folks. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 03:14, 8 October 2012 (GMT)

Bretons already existed as a race early in the First Era, as apparent by Loremaster's Archive - Tamriel's Dungeons, and Voernet. There's also Gauldur Berard from ESO, a Breton with the same first name, though different races can share the same first name. It is likely Skyrim's Gauldur is a Breton engrained in Nordic culture. Wouldn't be the first example of a race being immersed in another race's culture.Zebendal (talk) 23:45, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
