Uzdabikh's Helm

Uzdabikh was an Orcish hero who emerged from obscurity to become the celebrated figure of the Battle of Fharun Pass. Leading a warband tasked with defending a tunnel, Uzdabikh faced an unexpected onslaught from the Redguard army, resulting in the heroic defense of the pass. Armed with bow, axe, knife, and unmatched ferocity, Uzdabikh stood alone as her warband fell one by one. She fought relentlessly, and the tunnel became a bloody battlefield where one-thousand-and-one Redguards met their demise. Legends speak of a blessed helmet that shielded Uzdabikh from every attack, leaving her standing among the Redguard corpses when reinforcements arrived.[1][2][3] Her helm disappeared during the ancient battle of Fharun Pass.[4]

In 2E 582, curator Umutha of the House of Orsimer Glories embarked on a quest to retrieve the legendary helmet of Uzdabikh. Entrusting the mission to an adventurer, Umutha relayed the legend, pointing to the Burska Clan's oral tradition, which indicated that the helm was last spotted in the perilous mountain region of Sorrow along Wrothgar's northern border – the presumed whereabouts of Uzdabikh's Helm. The legendary helm, despite its mythical status, proved to be real and was eventually located and delivered to the museum. For a period, she was regarded as a mythical figure, but the discovery of the legendary helmet firmly anchored her in historical facts.[4][3][5]

Uzdabikh's gender was a subject of conflicting reports, but Curator Umutha leaned towards tales portraying her as female. The discussion around her gender was particularly significant, especially considering the time period. In the contemporary era of the House of Orsimer Glories, this interpretation was favored, not only aligning with King Kurog's progressive policies but also drawing more visitors due to the potential scandal it presented.[1][3]
