Great Aramril was a Bosmer arcanist, a renowned duelist, and conjurer and the most prestigious spellcaster of the Valenwood, who achieved lasting fame throughout the ages. She was also known as an author of The Apprentice's Assistant.[1][2]

History[edit]

Details regarding Aramril's early life and upbringing are scarce. She was born prior to 2E 582 and hailed from the region of Valenwood. Over time, she gained recognition and authored The Apprentice's Assistant, a comprehensive guide intended for mage-duelists aspiring to achieve fame. She also became known as the most prestigious spellcaster of the Valenwood. Legends of Great Aramril's escapades were widely known across Tamriel, leaving individuals from various provinces in sheer amazement at her remarkable displays of magical skill and prowess.[2] Champions from diverse fields came in search of her, each eager to pit their skills against hers. When they proved unable to best her, she graciously took numerous aspirants under her wing, imparting her wisdom and knowledge.[1]

Around 2E 582, she embarked on a journey to the realm of Apocrypha, specifically venturing into the Endless Archive's sub-realm. There, she engaged in a friendly duel within the Theater of War, where she encountered the Vestige. Although she suffered defeat, it was a rare occurrence for her. In response, she expressed a desire to meet with them again.[1] Limited information is available regarding her subsequent endeavors, but her books continued to enjoy popularity well into the Fourth Era.[3]
