mallen42: Good Afternoon and on behalf of the great community of ESO, thank you for doing this AMA! My question lies in the player vs player aspect of Elder Scrolls Online. I have played since launch on XB1 and have had a great time fighting the ongoing war in Cyrodill. I bought this game solely for the even idea that this game could have some organized small scale PvP. The problem at the moment with Cyrodill is as stated above, it is ongoing, monotonous, and for the people who have truly “grinded” in Cyrodill..it’s exhausting. We need something fresh, I know the IC was meant for small scale as well as the towns, unfortunately, the current system does not prevent large groups from controlling these.

I’ve heard the idea floated around that battlegrounds will be announced sometime next year, could we get a better time frame on this and as far as arenas(2v2, 3v3, 5v5 or similar), is this something that has been discussed as well? I know it will cause a lot more focus on balancing if this style of PvP is implemented but as someone who has spent easily 99% of my play time in Cyrodill, I really hope that something is coming sooner rather than later! Thanks, HEBREW HAMMERRR P.S. Can’t wait for dueling, that has been much anticipated!

ZOS_BrianWheeler: Battlegrounds are being worked on and we will give more details on them when they're ready =)
DragoneerFA: Can we get a screenshot of one just as a teaser? =D
ZOS_BrianWheeler: Not yet or else Gina and Matt would punch me.
ZOS_GinaBruno: Truth.
DragoneerFA: If, uh... this were to happen, can you make sure it happens during an ESO Live? XD
ZOS_BrianWheeler: Oh I'm sure we can get Gina to punch me on ESO live...
ZOS_MattF: Wheeler is a smart, smart man.

Rhazmuz: Two questions:

  1. What was the most difficult decision in designing the one Tamriel patch?
  2. Any chance we can get the alliance armors as costumes?
ZOS_RichLambert: Actually pulling the trigger on doing it. :) Seriously though, One Tamriel is huge on the back end. There was a ton of stuff we had to work through.

DragoneerFA: One Tamriel introduces a LOT of new sets. What are some of the ideas that go into a set to try to make them stand out from others? Are there any internal rules on set design (e.g. each new Stamina set should have a Magicka counterpart?).

Also, there are a lot of crafted sets which have never quite been updated with the major playstyle changes (Hist Bark) or are a bit lacking (Redistributor). Is there any data on these sets usages, or plans to offer them some buffs to make them more competitive or useful?

ZOS_eWrobel: With the monster masks we started to theme them after the boss that you killed. That was really successful so we elaborated on that with One Tamriel by making sets that helped tell the story of the zone they dropped in.

In terms of rules, there are definitely a lot of angles we look at like how they will perform in pve vs pvp combat. We also have a master spreadsheet with all of the sets to make sure there's a balance of sets for tanks, dps, healers and combinations of these roles. We definitely focused on adding new stamina monster masks lately since the core set was lacking for that playstyle.

Lastly, we do have data on how popular each set is and that helped direct a bunch of the balance changes we made for One Tamriel. We'll continue to review this in future updates and will take a look at your Redistributor.

joshfong: Great job on the game and the update so far. Keep up the good work!

My question is about the Crown Crates... I know you guys gave an update earlier today about them and it's very appreciated. However, there's sure to be a lot more feedback before they go live.

Will you be continuing to tweak the crates based on user feedback, and will the newly announced changes (and potentially other changes) land on the PTS before One Tamriel drops?

Thank you.

ZOS_MattF: We may make more changes than we announced today - there are still some other things we are looking at and assessing feedback. I don't know if we'll have those changes on PTS or not - but they will be in before they go live and we'll be sure to announce what is changing before we do so.

ghofmann: Hey guys, thanks for being here!

Will the existing zones ever change or be updated with new story content? It's kind of a bummer (kills immersion) that, after you defeat Molag Bal, there are still dark anchors spawning all over the world. I'd love to see new story lines made for the existing zones, but I can see how this would not be easy to implement, as different players will be at different points in the story lines. Any plans for this?

ZOS_RichLambert: We have tons of new players joining every day, so we don't want to change the existing stories. That being sad, we have a lot of new stories we want to tell and those will be coming in new updates/DLC.
ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: We have new players joining every day so we're loath to make big changes to the existing zone stories. With the advent of One Tamriel, players have the opportunity to play the content they'd previously outleveled as well as a bunch of new dailies for the Undaunted, Mages Guild, and Fighters Guild.

spudral: Any plans to expand pvp? Open world opt in pvp or guild wars? Also great work you're doing, cant wait for 1T.

ZOS_BrianWheeler: There will be Battlegrounds added later when they're ready =) We are also always looking at expanding on the Cyrodiil and Imperial City game play.
spudral: Can you please expand on the Cyrodiil IC ideas? Pretty please.
ZOS_BrianWheeler: We've been looking to add a new projectile siege weapon and new things to purchase with AP. We are also looking at making some quality of life improvements for PVP in general. There are other things beyond that as well, but we're still fleshing them out.

CyanPancake: Hey there Zenimax, first off, I'd like to thank you for doing the AmA, all the previous ones were really great to read and I'm quite excited for this one.

My question is whether we will be getting a new DLC for Q1 and Q2 of 2017? (Other than Player Housing)

And, if you're generous enough, when could we expect to be able to explore Vvardenfell in ESO? All my attempts have ended in being chewed to bits by slaughterfish.

ZOS_RichLambert: We will be announcing our 2017 plans at a later date. Hang tight!

DragoneerFA: Also, I currently have a bounty of 40K. I just can't stop killing, and it rises daily. Are there any other ways to get the grand pardon edict OTHER than the end of the Thieves Guild quest? =D

ZOS_PhilipDraven: The grand pardon edict is intended to be a unique reward associated with completing the Thieves Guild, but you can get the two tiers of smaller edicts from doing various Thieves Guild repeatables, as well as occasionally from Thieves Troves which can help you work down your bounty. There are also a number of passives in Legerdemain, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood that can help with bounty management too. You can also just avoid populated areas for a while. :)

Throren: So from the looks of it, will all future cool pets and mounts now be locked behind crown crates? I can understand your purpose behind them, but I'd rather not (potentially) waste hundreds of dollars for a mount I should be able to purchase via crowns

ZOS_MattF (edited): We will continue to offer the same amount of Crown Store pets and mounts as we did before, and (just like before) some will be LTO's that are available for just a short time. Crown Crates will have a couple of special themed mounts and other themed (atronach for the first set for example), but these are in addition to the mounts/pets/etc. that will be introduced in the Crown Store over time.
sunlitsonata: Thank you so much for answering.

As long as the Red Pit Wolf doesn't somehow count as a themed mount, I can sleep well at night.

ZOS_MattF: that should have been "special themed mounts and other items" - I'll edit my original answer to make that explicit. I don't know off the top of my head which category the Red Pit Wolf falls into, as it is a datamined item that is planned for the future.

timidobserver1: You guys added undaunted plunder which helps end game players make gold, but you still removed a very large chunk of our gear rewards and incentive. Are there any plans, beyond undaunted plunder, to replace what was removed with something else. This issue is very important to portion of the player base that spends the majority of their game time running endgame content

ZOS_Finnigan: We have heard the feedback regarding our decision to remove BoE gear and that in part, is how Undaunted Plunder came to be. We have no plans to reintroduce BoE gear into Group Content though we are always listening to feedback regarding the costs associated with group content and how to alleviate those costs.
code65536: Have you considered alternatives to direct gold injection? E.g., instead of Undaunted Plunders, Undaunted Supplies that have a chance of yielding tradable valuables such as gold mats. This would serve the same purpose without directly injecting gold into the economy.
ZOS_Finnigan: We have taken a look at all player suggestions. For now, we like how Undaunted Plunder rewards players but we can take a look should that not prove to be the case.
timidobserver1: Are you able/willing to explain why the decision was made?
ZOS_Finnigan: Sure! The decision was made to offset some of the costs associated with running Trials. If you mean, why did we remove BoE, I believe Rich mentioned at PAX that we wanted to incentivize players that want the rewards to do the content. Before, you did not necessarily need to do the Trials to get the gear from them, this was counter to our design goal for that content.

Throren: In terms of housing, I know you guys cant say much on it, but do you know at least when you can start giving us some tidbits? (also I really hope my nord can get a proper nordic themed home...with lots of mead of course)

ZOS_RichLambert: Our focus right now is on One Tamriel. We will have more juicy details on Housing soon.

Theryl: Last year Matt did a "year ahead" presentation/interview to give us a rough idea of what was planned for 2016. Another one of those for 2017 would be really great.

ZOS_MattF: Absolutely! I try to do that every January. We will have tons of good stuff to talk about in 2017, but let's get through the One Tamriel launch first. :)

Expect to see that post sometime in the first week of January.

sunlitsonata: Hi guys! Thanks for doing this.

Can you please tell us if collectibles like the Red Pit Wolf or the Chub Loon are exclusive to Crown Crates, or will you be offering these in the Crown Store in addition to Crown Crates?

(For anyone who wants to answer) What's your favorite zone and why? Least favorite zone?

Will we be seeing more new dungeons in the near future? Not the upscaled old dungeons that I know we're getting, completely new dungeons or continuations of those dungeons' stories. To repeat my PAX East question, "vet Arx Corinium when?" And also, vet Vaults when?

ZOS_Finnigan: We do not have plans to make continuation stories for the current Dungeons currently. Though, I am still employed so, rest assured, there will be new dungeons.

wdeemar: Hi my only question is what are the plans to adjust spawn times on crafting and alchemy nodes in high traffic areas with roughly three times the population.

ZOS_PhilipDraven: We have various controls already in place to manage respawn rates which we monitor and adjust as needed. We generally want to encourage players to strike out and find new locations to harvest when a given area has some competition, and with One Tamriel those options will include the entire gameworld. That being said, if there is a specific area that seems problematic, let us know and we can investigate.
MissBizz: Oh no! You don't have a fancy Zos flair! /u/dominoid73 can you get this man a flair?
ZOS_GinaBruno: I just pinged him and asked to get Phil and Jeremy some ZOS flair. :)

[deleted]: Hi all! Can you please discuss the Bind on Pickup issue? It seems to be a controversial topic among players.

It seems the intent is to reward veteran raiders/strong players by giving them an exclusive tier of top gear. However, many of these plays say they depend on selling these items to make the raids worthwhile for them.

Perhaps granting them exclusive cosmetic content would be better?

ZOS_Finnigan: We have definitely heard the feedback about our decision to remove BoE items from Trials and Dungeons. The underlying concern was the ability to recuperate costs and we hope that Undaunted Plunder has assuaged some of those fears. We are constantly looking at feedback though.

[deleted]: Considering how One Tamriel 'brings back" over 50 'new' sets to max CP160 level and previous updates also made more sets viable by scaling them to max lvl

Is there any plan to increase personal bank space cap from 240 to higher number?

Last personal bank cap increase was over 16 months ago (increase from 220 to 240) and with that many new sets im sure its becoming more difficult to players to store their equipment (especially when they are trying to collect 5 pieces of multiple sets and while they do it, they have to keep those pieces somewhere just in case they wont find one with better trait).

https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/53noap/should_there_be_a_bank_and_player_capacity/

https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/292411/should-there-be-a-bank-and-player-capacity-increase-with-next-patch

ZOS_RichLambert: No plans right now...

Narrative_Causality: Housing! How will that be handled in One Tamriel, exactly? We've seen hints as to how, but haven't actually gotten anything solid, as best I know.

ZOS_MattF: We'll talk a lot more about Housing once we get One Tamriel launched. Stay tuned for details.

Neoauspex: Could there be a Cyrodil campaign that is guild vs guild rather than alliance vs alliance? It would be fun if claiming a keep had more meaning and involved more interactivity/customization on a guild level.

ZOS_BrianWheeler: Guild vs. Guild Cyrodiil is not in our plans.

MissBizz: Thanks for the AmA! It's great to have a chance to speak with the people who make the game we love!

In One Tamriel, you can no longer scale group dungeons to the leader's level. What were your thoughts behind this? I imagine it may make it less confusing for new players, although it was a nice mechanic to tame dungeons down when you were teaching new players the dungeons.

ZOS_Finnigan: We did weigh that exact issue you described as we tested and developed these dungeons. In the end, it came down to the expected play experience compared to the rest of the game and did not make sense for dungeons and trials to operate differently. While we removed the ability to "scale down" dungeons, we think that the balance will still provide a fun experience.

chlamydia1: I plan on sinking a couple hundred hours and a couple hundred dollars into this game (I'm already 60 hours and $120 in). As such, I would like to know if you plan on allowing regional server transfers in the future. I ask because I might be relocating to Europe within the next year or two and would hate to lose all the time and money I've invested into the game (to be honest, I'd just stop playing if that were the case). I would be willing to pay for this feature.

ZOS_MattF: We don't offer character server transfers right now, although it is something we have thought about. You would be surprised, though, to know that many European players play on the NA servers (and vice versa) every day, and seem to be able to do it with few gameplay repercussions. You might want to play from across the pond and assess your experience before simply stopping playing.

ZOS_BrianWheeler: Yup we are working on Battlegrounds. We'll have more information about them when they're ready =)
ZOS_eWrobel: <2). With the addition of all the new sets to cater to all archettypes (except hybrids :( ) can we see more set bonuses for exploring and crafting? Such as sets for reducing materials required to craft, or sets for reduced tempers to upgrade an item to gold, or sets which give an additional % chance to yield extra materials?>

We purposely have been trying to avoid non-combat sets so you don't have to carry around a bunch of gear and swapping it back and fourth. I think that's a great idea for expanding the passive crafting skill lines. The better you get at blacksmithing, the less ore you need because you are more efficient and don't waste any of the material.

ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: 3 - We already have several types of duo content for PvE. Public dungeons are specifically built for two player groups. Additionally, the new Craglorn group content is built to challenge two or more players.
ZOS_PhilipDraven:
  1. One of the challenges with the hirelings is that we want them to have a chance to give rare items (like tempers for the equipment tradeskill based hirelings), but Alchemy is based on having a large number of relatively common components. That being said, we did add the Shadowy Supplier on the Dark Brotherhood skill line which allows players to choose what type of boon they'd like, which includes an option that focuses on poisons and their base materials.

vixxvexx: WIth One Tamriel, will it be possible to obtain Gold Jewelry from overworld sets that were previously on the Trial Droptable? Example: Gold Akaviri Dragonguard Neck & Rings.

ZOS_eWrobel: That's definitely something we want to address but ran out of time after having re-itemizing the entire game. Look for fun new ways to get gold jewelry in the future.

J_Suarez: One reason lots of TES fans feel ESO is not really a TES game is the excessive amount of zones and loading screens. Since One Tamriel is the direction, why not combine some of the old zones to make the game more open-worldy? For example, Can we combine Greenshade, Grahtwood and Malabal Tor into a holistic Valenwood? Cyrodiil is much much larger than any PVE zones, and it still works fine.

ZOS_RichLambert: Stitching zones together is not easy nor really feasible with the megaserver tech we currently have.

Sir-Daddicus: Hello ZOS team, I am really excited for One Tamriel. Any chance of adding a Hardmode to overland PvE. I was thinking perhaps it is possible to design a way where the player can toggle on their character sheet a Hardmode that decreased your stats by say two thirds by doubled experience and increased loot quality. The debuff could apply in the same way battlespirit applies now and that would probably satisfy all those CP 531 players who claim the game is becoming too easy. Thanks for your time (First time on Reddit) -Daddicus

ZOS_MattF: This is a great question, and makes sense if you have experience playing our battle-leveled dungeons, which have a standard and hard mode. Hard mode is 100% one of the things we considered when we came up with the concept of One Tamriel. We decided, however, to concentrate more on making the experience scale across all levels and making it fun for everyone.

Parzival265: Are you guys working on the server's stability? My friends and I have seen a LOT of high latency and disconnects on the PC the past week.

ZOS_BrianWheeler: Server stability and performance is always getting worked on not just in Cyrodiil but everywhere in ESO.

BllyDnsr: Thanks for doing this Zenimax. My question is regarding the changes to improve VMA weapon drops for PVE players and if us hardcore PvPers will also have an improved way to get BIS weapons?

ZOS_RichLambert: We have some ideas on this. :)

Paulingtons: Hey there, and thanks for doing another AMA. I am not sure which of you will be best set to answer this, so I'll let you guys decide.

Guild management. It's fair to say that the current guild management system is lacklustre and needs revamping, remaining largely unchanged since release.

Do you guys have any plans to introduce things such as a more granular ranking system, guild bank tabs, guild bank withdraw limits and such? These are things the community of GMs needs something dire and would very much improve the QOL in ESO for GMs and members alike.

Thanks for reading and (possibly) answering, have a good day!

ZOS_PhilipDraven: Improving guild management and features is absolutely on our list and something we want to hit in the future.
ZOS_MattF: Hey! It's Mr. Bristol City! Just calling out that Paulingtons is a far better player of ESO than I am.

(was great meeting you at the Gamescom ESO Tavern)

timidobserver1: @Wrobel and anyone else that wants to comment.

You've already taken some very nice steps to improve the new destruction staff ultimate, but it is still lacking when compared to Shooting Star(Mage's Guild Ultimate.) The Mage's Guild ultimate puts out more damage, costs lese, returns ultimate, and has a stun. Do you have any plans to adjust the destruction staff ultimate further. I’d really like to use this ultimate, but at the moment, shooting star is just a much better deal in most situations.

ZOS_eWrobel: A key feature to the destruction staff ultimate that helps differentiate it is the huge area it affects. This is hard to see on the PTS since there isn't a lot of large scale pvp or dungeon running. We're definitely paying close attention to this ultimate and will buff it further if required.

MissBizz: In One Tamriel it was mentioned you would be removing the "terrible two" traits from Trial gear, and adding impen. It was recently announced you would also be adding impen back into the loot table for undaunted gear. Although the undaunted changes do slim down the loot table a bit, there is still a very small chance to get everything just right. Are you considering removing prosperous and training gear from the Undaunted Monster sets? These sets are considered end game gear by.. well, I think everyone.

ZOS_RichLambert: You are always going to get set pieces when killing bosses in dungeons now. Its going to be a lot easier to get the sets in the traits you like.

Also, ideally we'd like to make all traits interesting...

KingTurbY: Hello everyone thank you for doing this. So my question is is with all the new updates and changes you do to try to improve and evolve the game is there any way you can come up with the balance for people who only do PVE instead of PVP without destroying our stats to help out the PVP crowd. As an example when you moved reduced blocking cost into the green tree it kind of screwed Dragon Knight tanks on resource management

ZOS_eWrobel: Yeah we're heard this request before and it totally makes sense. Our goal is to make a game that is universally fun for everyone. We want players to be able to seamlessly transition between the game modes. without having to memorize how each ability works in each situation.

For example this is one of the reasons why we changed monsters to gain immunity after being hit with with a player CC ability. It helps players learn how the system will work in pvp and it requires more strategic and interesting ability usage instead of just stunning a monster over and over again.

Re: Resource management for tanks, the new 1h and shield is great for this since it makes you automatically block all attacks and regenerate stamina. For even more stamina you can morph this ultimate to make all of your 1h and shield abilities free!

Stalinwolf: Any chance the difficulty of mobs may be increased in the future? I really enjoyed the story and exploration in the game, but the casual difficulty eventually turned me away. I felt no real sense of danger or accomplishment in PvE unless I was swarmed by mobs.

ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: Balancing PvE to be challenging is a difficult proposition. The casual players are more likely to have difficulty with the changes brought about by One Tamriel if we steer too far towards making everything challenging for veteran players. If you're looking for more challenge, you should look more towards group bosses or the new Craglorn.

throwawayTANKPLAR (edited): @ Wrobel & Finnigan: can you explain the disparity you face between balancing classes vs balancing roles and how it affects your choices when developing end-game content?

I feel like a lot of the decisions you make (which work fairly well for the most part) are based on making sure the four classes have a unique identity, yet fall short when applying them to one of the three roles. For example, why did you remove Silver Leash's pull utility whilst increase the amount/need of pulling trash together as a tank for end-game content, especially in the last two patches worth of PvE dungeons/trials?

ZOS_Finnigan: The Gameplay/Combat team and Dungeon Team work closely when coming up with mechanics and class balance changes. We have a member form each team in each other's meetings, etc. so that when an idea or change is floated, we make sure all voices are heard to weigh the impact on gameplay.

For Dungeons in particular, we don't weigh class abilities as much as we weigh what gameplay mechanics we want and make sure that players can achieve the goal. We also take a look at how many abilities can achieve those goals to make sure we don't pigeon hole content to being only able to be completed when a certain class is present.

CatManDew13: Has there been any talk for adding cooldown notifications on console? Such as a warning when food is about to run out or when buffs wear odd?

Since PC can achieve this via add-on, but we cannot.

ZOS_RichLambert: Buff / Debuff is something we're working on... so yes.

Protpersian: As someone with no knowledge of any of your games whatsoever, would you say your game is friendly to those in the same boat as myself? What unique factors of your game could help lure me to give you a chance over World of Warcraft?

ZOS_RichLambert: Just a couple quick ones off the top of my head:
  • We have a great community who loves helping out new players
  • With One Tamriel, you can go to any zone to explore and play with anyone you want, regardless of level
ZOS_MattF: The best thing to do is to simply ask the ESO community on Reddit - they handle questions like this every day, and can give you great information about the game and comparing it to other games you may have played in the past.

olsplayeso: Hey, great job on adding so many cool sets (some are stronger then others tho), but alot or most of the craftable sets are very underwhelming compared to dropped sets, especially after One tamriel hits, any plans to go over the crafted sets and buff/change some of them? thank you and im looking forward to one tamriel.

ZOS_PhilipDraven: Thanks! We definitely intend for crafting options to remain relevant and competitive. The combat team tracks usage patterns of item sets and makes ongoing adjustments for under-performing sets.

recremen: Hello my friends, Glorious Creators, Mothers of Code and Fathers of Figure! Khajiit is very happy to see you all so well, and that you take time to speak!

This one has been wondering, when will we see a Restyling System? Men'Do has been practicing his stitching, trimming, welding, and a healthy bit of illusion magic, and is sure that he can work something out!! It is so very important to Khajiit to be able to fine-tune how he looks, and it is probably very important to others as well!

This seems especially important with so many new armor types of myth and legend being discovered! This one hears that the borders are opening up soon, and then do you know how many new armors and weapons we shall find, once we are able to work together? Sooooo many!! Maybe even as many as 30, but who can say?

Of course this is very good news. BUT!! Fashion disaster!!! Found armor and weapons are so hard to mix and match, yet the threats to Tamriel demand that we wear them so that we can be strong and svelte to crush the enemies of Nirni! So of course it is good to fold a little metal, tuck a corner or three, and perhaps collapse the spell lattice here and there so that we can change how the piece of armor or weapon looks. After all, how can Khajiit slay the nusty Daedra without representing his people and paying homage to their martial styles? It is impossible. He has tried!!

So! Maybe you let us change how these look soon, yes? Yes with banana and moon sugar syrup? Yes with shiny dispensation from illustrious Crown peddlers? Surely some form of yes is available.

Of course, this one will still be wearing the magickal garments that the Crown peddlers fashion, for who can deny the beauty of a Cyrod gown, or the sturdy fabrics of friend Orsimer? At least, he will keep wearing them as long as he is able to buy. But surely little bit of restyling will be a glorious compliment to such wares, not replacement!

Please to consider, and once again, many thank for taking time to answer important questions.

wdeemar: Fantasia forever. EP... Yuck.
ZOS_MattF: Recreman, before I get to your question, I want to call out that you are awesome. Your posts are read with great anticipation and make the rounds here at ZOS within seconds of you posting them. Khajiit like you are what make games like ESO awesome. Thanks so much.

Now, to your question: this is something we have talked about, but it is more complex than you otherwise might imagine - item transmogrication can work in a limited fashion pretty easily (like the ability to change everything to Imperial Style if you own the Imperial Edition), but not something we are currently considering on a mass scale.

DoYouEvenPTFO: Good Afternoon,

I play on Console. Is there any way that we can get a buff/DeBuff timer? I love the way I can visually see my buffs but sometimes in PVP it does not show or it visually hard to pay attention to my weapons or my physical appearance.

it would be very helpful! thank you in advance!

ZOS_GinaBruno: Yep, it's something we're working on!

geetlebeetle: Not a question, but just a personal thank you for working so hard on this game. I love ESO

ZOS_BrianWheeler: We love you!
ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: Thanks! It's a labor of love.

MDPenn: Have you guys ever toyed with the idea of having a "banner" item for PvP that you could wear on your back, similar to the banner bosses in the sewers? But with these, teammates could rally around? Obviously It would depict either the lion eagle or dragon, and would perhaps provide benefits too all nearby teammates. Making them a high value target to attack or protect. Perhaps the bannermen could have a speed restriction or unable to mount for balancing.

ZOS_BrianWheeler: Something like this has been talked about a bit and can be revisited in the future. A+ suggestion!

Narrative_Causality: This is for the creative director, /u/ZOS_RichLambert. I have the Hero of Tamriel title, so I've done a lot of quests and I have a question regarding a trend I've noticed in them.

A lot of quests have some variation of a certain choice of sacrificing someone or not to accomplish a goal, often a choice between two people. Usually the framing is such that the people being sacrificed are willing to die based on your choice and it's always with them harboring no ill will towards you for it. Afterwards everyone agrees you made the right choice. This framing lessens the player's choice because whichever they pick it's always the right one.

I honestly can't think of a quest where someone pleads with you not to take their life and to take the life of the other instead, as if you don't want to give/force the player to make a choice that would be "wrong". But this is especially jarring since the Dark Brotherhood quests are all about killing innocents, the textbook example of making an evil choice. I'm just tired of being in the moral clear all the time; I want the choices to weigh heavily upon me. Going forward, will there be more subtleties to the choices we're given in quests, where you're not praised for your choice and, on top of that, the choice is difficult because the affected are, if not unwilling participants, then not so terribly invested in the greater good that they feel like sacrificing themselves?

ZOS_RichLambert: There's a number of morally grey choices in quests. (spoiler - remember the end of Mages guild?)

That being said, we would love to have more of these types of choices.

LonePirate: When do you plan on addressing the massive list of shortcomings Magicka DKs confront in PVP? This thread on the official forums was created back in September 2015 which detailed the problems Magicka DKs face and almost nothing has changed in the year since it was written. Does ZOS plan on improving the plight of Magicka DKs in Cyrodiil or should they respec into Stamina which has been the dominant resource for quite some time?

ZOS_eWrobel: We wanted to hit this for One Tamriel but had to focus on difficulty scaling, re-itemizing the entire game, creating new item sets, new monster masks, and number of other changes and bug fixes.

We're already got a pretty significant list of buffs for magicka DKs coming with update 13 and we have been reading your feedback.

FlandersCrimson: Is there any chance vampirism is going to get new skills?

ZOS_eWrobel: I think having a full set of 5 abilities would be cool so you could be a more complete vampire.

SunnyDehlight: Will some sort of Transmogfication system be implemented in the near future(or any plans at all for one)? Also thank you so much for for taking the time to do this AMA!

ZOS_GinaBruno: It's something we've talked about, but don't have any plans to do it at this time.

Elloa: Heya everyone!! I don't have any question to ask, but i wanted to say hello to the team! Lots of Love for you guys! <3

ZOS_MattF: Bonsoir! It's getting late in Europe, thanks for joining us!
ZOS_GinaBruno: Hey /u/elloa, great to see you here! :D
ZOS_JessicaFolsom: Hi Elloa! Thanks for the love and support. <3

ZOS_MattF: We're going to take questions for a few more minutes (up until 6:00pm Eastern US Time), but as we are winding down, I just want to thank everyone for dropping by and asking questions. I'm sorry we didn't have time to get to everyone, but as I said in the greeting post: you guys are the reason why we do what we do. It's so great to be able talk directly with the community like we did this afternoon.

Thanks everyone!

Matt and the ESO Dev Team

Roog3n: Any plans on adding another class to the game in the future?

ZOS_eWrobel: That sounds like a good idea to me.
ZOS_MattF: Translating for Wrobel: this is something we are thinking about - as we have since launch - but no plans for the immediate future.
dominoid73: Lol at Wrobel getting checked by Matt. Haha.
ZOS_MattF: +1 for being perceptive! :)

MuhTreants: Hey there, first of all, thanks for doing this AMA! :) As a dual bow main PvE'er I would like to know if there are any plans on revamping the bow skill line. Atm the dps of the best dual bow builds are roughly 40% lower than the top overall dps and bow seems to be more and more reduced to just a buff bar, which things like the new ultimate, another DoT when morphed, seems to stimulate. Are there any plans to make bows compatible on top PvE level? Or just below top level?

ZOS_eWrobel: Yeah this is something we are interested in. It's trickey because snipe is already powerful in pvp and it's the main bow nuking ability. Something we've toyed with is adding a mechanic to snipe so it increases damage over time and thus can't be used to 1 shot players with a stealth attack.

Woeler: New trial? When? Where?

ZOS_RichLambert: Remember that time where Mike said he wouldn't have a job if we didn't keep making new dungeons and trials?

Well... we are going to keep him employed. :)

ZOS_Finnigan: Not in OneTamriel :)

Hawk2k4 (edited)': Hello thanks for doing this. My question is in regards the crazy costs of gold tempering items. Are there any plans to increase drop rate, give another source of them, or maybe reduce number needed for upgrades? It seems strange that small pieces of armor use the same amount as large and at 20k per Tempering Alloy, it's very prohibitive to most players.

ZOS_RichLambert: It's something we are aware of for sure. (it just cost me 70k gold to upgrade a weapon the other day heh)

jeffskai_delver: Are there any plans to have a Melee weapon that scales of Spell Damage or anything of the like? Not being able to min/max as a magicka sword user makes me sad.

ZOS_eWrobel: We like to have a consistent rule set for how magicka and stamina abilities work. Right now it's very easy and clear to understand that every magicka ability scales off max magicka and spell damage. That said, this could be a really neat idea for an item set that lets you break the rules.

Llarys_Neloth: Some more questions for you guys: The new Iceheart and Shadowrend Monster Sets seem to be performing very bad compared to most new Sets. Will they be improved?

Also there are still Sets that give Weapon damage instead of Spelldamage, like Ice Furnace, which clearly is aimed at Magicka Users. Will this be fixed?

ZOS_eWrobel: Yup we'll take a look, thanks for the feedback Llarys_Neloth.

ZOS_eWrobel: We've been looking into the stuck in combat issue and it's definitely pretty thorny. We realize this is a hugely frustrating issue and it's at the top of the list for the combat team.

robertwhite93: Where the hell do you get that Glass Sword !!?

ZOS_JessicaFolsom: Rich got it as a drop for braving our local Wegman's on a Saturday. (In all seriousness, it's a special-made prop. :))
ZOS_RichLambert: It was just sitting on a rack near Gina's desk and I stole it while she wasn't paying attention.

VosTelvannis: With the new "smart loot" system. Will it still be possible to get something like an infallible aether sword for instance?

ZOS_eWrobel: We specifically eliminated invalid combinations like dropping a staff or axe with an item set that increases bow damage.

Some casters like dual wield swords and we don't want to take that option away.

Going forward we would like to be a little more selective with what traits and weapons drop with each set for end game content.

babblemammal: Both of my roommates have elemental themed mage characters, a fire Dragon Knight and a lightning Sorcerer. I was hoping to join them with the third destruction element to make a fun triple splat mage team, but when i looked into it i found zero skill support outside the staff line and the mage's guild ultimate. Are there any plans in existence, or even mentioned in passing, for fleshing out more ice based skills?

And another one from one of those roommates: Will zone sets (i.e. dolmen chests) drop in gold quality when you have the treasure hunter champion point passive?

ZOS_PhilipDraven: I can speak to the latter: You will not currently be getting gold quality jewelry from those treasure chests though the treasure hunter passive can help increase the quality of the dropped items up to purple, and for master quality chests (with treasure hunter) it provides a chance to get a second item drop from the chest.

mnefstead: I'm curious about your plans for crafted sets. Are there new sets on the horizon in upcoming DLC areas? Is there any plan to revisit any of the current crafted sets that don't get as much use?

ZOS_PhilipDraven: We typically introduce new crafted sets alongside new overland content and plan to continue to try to do so to keep the crafting options fresh.

Rhazmuz: Any plans regarding some kind of skill setup saver, so we can save skill setups and swap between them fast and easy?

ZOS_eWrobel: It's definitely been on our minds for a while. We want to go big with this feature and make it allow seamless transitions between gear/skills/champion/attribute points/etc.

DragoneerFA: Unrelated to One Tamriel, but best restaurant by the ZOS office?

ZOS_RichLambert: Any place I can get a beer!
ZOS_BrianWheeler: Rich...wanna get a beer at Oriole Park?
ZOS_GinaBruno: mmm love their warm cinnamon pretzels! NOM
ZOS_RichLambert: Sign me up!
ZOS_PhilipDraven: Dutch Market for sure.
ZOS_eWrobel: I like: Cafe Spice - All you can eat Indian buffet

Jake's - Best BBQ in MD! And they give huge portions of ribs.

ZOS_BrianWheeler: Hmmm....The Stil

mnefstead: Why doesn't the Maelstrom shield have a unique enchantment like all the Maelstrom weapons? Given all the effort it takes to get there, I would love to see either a unique enchantment on the shield or a two-piece set with the sword (or both!) that makes it a viable option for endgame tanks.

ZOS_PhilipDraven: Yeah, Wrobel, why doesn't it?
ZOS_eWrobel: <3
ZOS_RichLambert: Don't make me separate you two again!
ZOS_eWrobel: We could have splitt the bonus between the shield and 1h weapon, like we did with dual wield. However instead we put all of it on the 1h weapon to make it unique and different. This gives you the flexibility to use any shield you want.

[deleted] (edited): Any plans to buff magDK /s not /s

Any hints on new dungeons planned soon? Here's hoping dragon priest monster helms. "Cough" ThroatOfTheWorld "cough" It'd make a great dungeon and is 100% lore friendly since dragon priests are attracted to dragons.

ZOS_eWrobel: Yup, we definitely have planned a good list of buffs for magicka DK and also balance in general for magicka vs stamina DPS.

olsplayeso: Hello, one more question, on pax /u/ZOS_RichLambert said that he believed IC telvar sets had jewlery included in them aswell in one tamriel, I can however confirm they do not, not powerful assault or shieldbreaker etc have no jewlery or weapons in their set items, is this intended or oversight? thank you very much.

ZOS_RichLambert: You are right... it got missed. We will get it fixed.

CastielClean: Will you still be able to do the Cadwells Silver and Gold once One Tamriel is a thing, or are they basically rendered moot since now you have access to everything anyways?

ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: Yes, Cadwell's Silver and Gold is still a thing. Once you've completed the story in your alliance's zone you'll be presented with Cadwell's quests just like always. We still encourage players to do the content in the original order presented but you can now do it in any order.

MissBizz: Console now has text chat (hooray!). I was hoping this would alleviate the gamepad UI troubles on PC, but it has not. Right now your loot history while in gamepad mode on PC is covered up by your chat box. The chat box isn't exactly user friendly in being moved around the screen for people that will often switch between interfaces. Have you considered any UI changes to either allow the chat box to be moved easier, OR move the loot drop to the right hand side?

ZOS_MattF: As a primarily PC player of ESO, I use a controller (don't judge!) - and as such, I ran into this problem too. You will be glad to know, though that it is easy to move the chat box - just click on one of the chat box tabs with the mouse pointer and move it wherever you want.

Malicharo: I'm one of the new players so I don't really have anything to ask about design or balance since I'm still in the learning process.

But one particular thing got my attention. I felt like you were under-utilizing Steam platform. The game is currently not updated to the latest version on Steam, so after downloading it you need to download updates via your launcher. Also we can not buy any Crowns on Steam and can not make subscription plans for ESO plus and some more other things related to Crown store. Why exactly is that? It feels like you released the initial version of the game on Steam and left it there. Not trying to be rude or anything I'm just legit curious about it.

ZOS_MattF: We have plans to be more/better integrated with Steam. You should be hearing about this in the near future.

jrowlands8: I know this is a little off topic, but are there any plans in this patch or upcoming patches to give magicka dk builds an execute?

ZOS_eWrobel: We want to make DK's have a unique playstyle that does not include an execute ability. Instead we want them to focus on pressuing enemy's health bars with DoT effects. We've got some sweet changes for magicka DKs planned for update 13!

Mistaurge: One Tamriel sounds great and it will be nice to see other alliances in PVE zones. My question is more PVP oriented. I'm a casual pvp'er but notice alot of alliance changing in PVP campaigns. It can get disheartening to be tea bagged by your own alliance as they watch the opposing beat you because they are friends. Will there be anything to help with this type of issue and keep people loyal to a particular pvp alliance?

ZOS_BrianWheeler: When a campaign ends you get rewarded based on your participation in that Campaign, but if you switch your campaign before that ends, your progress to those rewards get wiped. There also are repeat participation rewards in Campaigns if you remain loyal to a campaign.
Mistaurge: Thanks for the reply. I just realized that my question wasn't asked correctly. What i am referring to is more about a player taking multiple characters into the same campaign to switch sides and help their friends out on an opposing alliance. Perhaps a lock to one alliance character per campaign?
ZOS_BrianWheeler: We did have a lock at one time in development, as well as blocking communication between alliances while in Cyrodiil, however that led to a lot of missed conversations and lost information that was blocked. That led to a pretty negative experience and we changed it to allow communication between players, but it does open the door for the issues you bring up. In the end, being able to play with your friends regardless of Alliance assignment won out vs. protection against spying/cross alliance information trading.

Faulgor: I'm quite looking forward to the upcoming festival events (Witches' and New Life), especially because they are not only in line with established lore but also add to it.

As I understand there will be new crafting motifs that can be obtained during these events. My question is, will there be a way to obtain style materials for these styles after the event has ended? Or will we have to stockpile for a whole year until the event returns / buy Crown Mimic Stones?

ZOS_PhilipDraven: They will be tradeable so you will always be able to buy them from other players who have extra for sale, and the plan is to bring them back each year when the holiday comes around again so you'll have another opportunity if you missed out.

Sleepwalkfordays: Is there any plans to lower the crafting materials required for veteran gear to make it slightly more accessible?

ZOS_PhilipDraven: Since the introduction of the current top tier of crafting, we've progressively made the materials easier to acquire but we have no immediate plans to lower the amount needed to craft top level gear.

Ratiug_: Can we have a small hint about the upcoming small scale pvp? Will it be more like arenas or battlegrounds? :D

ZOS_BrianWheeler: That depends on your definition of Arenas vs Battlegrounds.

Mororeflex: Do you have any plans on balancing weapon traits further (esp pertaining sharpened, which is pretty much the only viable weapon for DPS?) Right now Sharpened is ahead of precise/nirn by more than 7%

ZOS_eWrobel: We want different traits to be good for different builds. For example sharpened is not as useful on low armor targets and does not increase the value of heals like nirnhoned and precise do. We definitely have plans to improve the traits that aren't as popular though.

KingsOfTamriel: I want to see more variety of mounts. How about a rhino or elephant mount? Perhaps a Spider mount for any Daedric Summoning Sorcerers?! Another cool mount could be a Dragon mount that you can fly with?! How about a Dolphin mount so you can swim across bodies of water without the fear of Slaughterfish? Allowing us to upgrade the Stamina/Speed would greatly help when evading those pesky guards after 'accidental' pick pocketing. It would be cool to see a horse with carriage too. Maybe add that to the dueling arena for another kind of mini-game?

ZOS_BrianWheeler: But the dolphin would be eaten by the slaughterfish, and that would make me so sad...so sad...

Faulgor: During one of the PAX panels, /u/ZOS_RichLambert mentioned that /u/ZOS_eWrobel had some ideas how to discourage players from simply putting all their attribute points into a single attribute (thank Kyne). Can you share some thoughts on this issue?

ZOS_eWrobel: Our goal is to make it more valuable to spend points in health instead of just going all magicka or stamina. The reason this is so powerful is you're getting to deal more damage and heal yourself for more by maxing offensive stats. The current design is still in progress, so l don't have concrete details for you right now.

muonlinei2: Thanks for doing this! One question, will guild masters have more control over guilds? Like a possibility to put more ranks? Or to filter what guildmates can retrieve from bank?

ZOS_PhilipDraven: We definitely want to provide more options and controls to guilds to allow them to manage these features more effectively.

ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: We love the alliance stories and our recurring characters. We plan to continue bringing the characters that people love back in future content where it makes sense.

Architectron: I love ESO. It's an amazing game. I've been playing since its launch in Xbox and have learned so much, made tons of friends, and really progressed in this game and all of its difficult content.

The day before the patch that broke minor slayer and vMOL I almost had my first complete with my group. Brought the twins down to 3% and shortly after a few more tries, we called it a night.

Please fix this soon. It is absurd this hasn't been addressed (really addressed, not just telling us 'soon') we bought the game, we are subbed, we purchased the content and the content is broken. Fix it please. Should have been fixed over a month ago. Why hasn't it?

Sorry if this has already been asked, there are already over 350 comments at this point.

We should be the ones deserving the apology.

ZOS_Finnigan: Cross posted from below...

We fixed a number of performance bugs in OneTamriel for Consoles. The performance should be better when the Update goes live.

ZOS_eWrobel: Yup we definitely plan on adding a bunch of new frost abilities in the future.

xxSpinnxx: Do you guys have any plans to incorporate huge gold sinks into the game? And are you guys always aware of the current state of the economy of the game? Thanks!

ZOS_PhilipDraven: We absolutely monitor the in-game economy and make adjustments when necessary. As we add new features to the game, we carefully consider the gold faucets and sinks we're introducing and how they integrate with the rest of the game. Adhazabi Aba-daro the Golden is an example of a sink we've added while Justice fencing is a significant faucet. We also look at how these gold sources stack up against each other, and the limitations associated with them to encourage players to participate in a wide array of systems and content.

MaceWindows: Will we ever see more quest areas cleared up after completing them? It's terribly disheartening to spend all that effort saving the day only to see the badguys respawning

ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: This is a serious balancing act. We love the idea of showing how your actions have a large impact on the world. But, we need to make sure that you can still play with your friends in the future and aren't separated from each other based on those same actions.

In instanced spaces like graduation moments or dungeons, we provide this option, but in open world locations we typically avoid this.

Moglijuana: Is there currently any discussion in changing the way destruction staves work? Specifically in PvP? Currently almost any stam build running shuffle combined with dodge rolls practically makes destruction staves (Flame staves to be specific) very sub par when compared to other weapon types. Also, don't forget that you must forgo another possible 5pc bonus to slot said staff. I've been playing my MagDK with a destro/resto set up and it is EXTREMELY laughable how bad it is compared to ANY other set up currently.

ZOS_eWrobel: Yeah we want to look at improving the destruction staff and making the play styles of fire/frost/shock more distinct.

With the 5 piece bonus that's not just a magicka issue, also pertains to bows and 2h. We are aware of the discrepancy in set bonuses between weapon types and have been looking into possible solutions.

theonenamenottaken: Before anything else I have to say I love the update and everything around it. There's so much new stuff combined with so much of the older content getting new life.

  1. Can we expect any further adjustments to the weapon ultimates before One Tamriel launches, or is the current versions on the pts pretty much set in stone?
  2. Will the motifs of the styles used by enemies in Shadow of the Hist be released in One Tamriel?
ZOS_PhilipDraven: 2) While we can't give specifics, our ongoing approach to motifs is to introduce new craftable styles with each update which often include appearance sets previously only available from dropped equipment.

Comment deleted by user

ZOS_PhilipDraven: With One Tamriel nearly all sets will drop in all slots including jewelry and Spell Power Cure is included. They are not always available at all quality tiers, and there is a small handful of sets which don't cover every slot, but the vast majority now do.

timidobserver1: I am drawing a blank on when and where, but I recall that you guys confirmed that you were adding some kind of wayshrines to trials so that people that crash can get back to their group faster. Is there any kind of ETA on that?

ZOS_Finnigan: We have added "Checkpoints" to all Dungeons and Trials in OneTamriel. After you kill a boss, a Portal will appear at the entrance of the dungeon or trial which will teleport you to that boss instantly. This should assist with not only new players jumping into an instance but also players that want to repair, etc.

pchela-ella: What's your favorite classes/races to play?

ZOS_GinaBruno: Pet classes for life.
ZOS_BrianWheeler: Magicka Breton Templar Healer\Support

Magicka Altmer Sorcerer DPS\CC

Stamina Imperial DK DPS\Tank

ZOS_PhilipDraven: As long as I get to tank, I'm happy.
ZOS_JessicaFolsom: Dual-wield melee DPS & healers are my favs. I'm partial to Imperials and Dark Elves. :D
ZOS_eWrobel: All of them!!
ClassyKatie: This is a cop out answer fool, FOR REAL. What is your favorite. That's like saying you like every flavor of ice cream out there but did you know in Seattle they have fish flavored ice team? Bet you wouldn't like it!

GIVE US YOUR FAVORITE!

ZOS_eWrobel: I mean there's only 4. And we haven't made the fishmancer class yet.

Loki_99: When the One Tamerial lauches, will respec's be cheap for the first week, like the last major update?

ZOS_JessicaFolsom: We don't currently have plans to reduce respec costs for the Update 12/One Tamriel launch. Typically, we only reduce respec costs when we release a major update that introduces a large amount of balance changes to skill lines and Champion passives.
ZOS_eWrobel: More likely for update 13 since there are a lot of class changes coming with that one.

ClassyKatie: OH HEY THERE TEAM.

My question is for all of you, assuming you play your own game ;)

What is your absolute favorite feature of your game? In PVP and PVE?!?

It's awesome to hear about creators loving their own product :)

Also, hi guys.

ZOS_JessicaFolsom: Hi! :D My favorite feature is the writing/quests, especially the characters and humor. Like this guy: http://i.imgur.com/kYw8R9I.jpg
ZOS_Finnigan: Spiders... I love spiders...
ZOS_BrianWheeler: We know Mike....we know. AND LOVE IT!
ZOS_GinaBruno: Oh hello!
ZOS_BrianWheeler: Having fun with my friends in Cyrodiil, Imp City or dungeon runs!
ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: I'm really fond of dailies. I enjoy running dungeon dailies and thieves guild dailies. and am looking forward to the new Undaunted, Mages Guild and Fighters Guild dailies going live.
ZOS_eWrobel: I love running random veteran dungeons with a pickup group of random players. It's a struggle at times, but teaching them the mechanics and finally succeeding after a few wipes feels great.
ZOS_RichLambert: Love me some vMA and Cyrodiil!

Llarys_Neloth: Hi! I have a question: Will there be future possibilities to transfer accounts like from PS4 to PC or from PC to PS4? The same way we could when TESO launched on Consoles I mean :)

ZOS_JessicaFolsom: There are no plans at this time, though we do get that request often and know it's something that's wanted.

Woeler: Will the BOE gold jewels that now drop in trials be obtainable in OneTamriel IN GOLD quality in another way? Have had this debate too often with people.

ZOS_PhilipDraven: The jewelry previously obtainable in BoE gold quality from trials will be available over time (in BoP form) from Adhazabi Aba-daro the Golden vendor once One Tamriel goes live.

Irascibleness: Please please. When Will Veteran Maw of Lorkhaj be fixed on console? The constant disconnects are ridiculous. There is a reason why there isn't even a single leaderboard score up. It's UNPLAYABLE.

Xbox One player here.

ZOS_Finnigan: We fixed a number of performance bugs in OneTamriel for Consoles. The performance should be better when the Update goes live.

getZlatanized:

  1. Which ones of you do actually play the game regularly, and if you are playing, is it also endgame stuff like the hardest dungeons/trials/pvp or rather softcore playing?
  2. Directly leading from my first question - would you ever consider hiring someone of the player elite who could function as a link between players and developers, an actual ZOS employee with deepest ingame knowledge of the most recent bugs etc. - cuz I think that would be very necessary.
  3. How is the PvP status, can we ever expect it to work as flawless as it once did, again? I mean it got better, but is still not really great when looking at ping/fps.
  4. Could you please do me the favor of staying one of the most awesome dev teams I've ever seen and enjoy your evening? Thank you ZOS :)
ZOS_RichLambert: I run vMA all the time. (Flawless and 550k on my sorc)

I also run trials pretty regularly and PVP a lot.

ZOS_PhilipDraven: I go through phases of playing extremely hardcore and more casually, and tend to try to play as wide a range of content and gameplay types as possible. To be more specific, I'm a big fan of harvesting/crafting, market trading/buying/selling, running dungeons, quest story content, chasing achievements, participating in justice, killing world bosses, etc.
ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: I play the game almost every day. I play a mix of overland zones, arenas, dungeons, and trials.
ZOS_Finnigan:
  1. Which ones of you do actually play the game regularly, and if you are playing, is it also endgame stuff like the hardest dungeons/trials or rather softcore playing?
  • Quite a few of us actually. I try and play Trials/Maelstrom/Dungeons at least 2 or 3 times a week. I also PvP sometimes but I play PvE mostly.
ZOS_BrianWheeler: I play everyday in Cyrodiil, IC and dungeons.

We are continually making incremental improvements on Cyrodiil performance in high population Champion enabled Campaigns. Campaign performance varies from Campaign to Campaign and we are still working on making all of them as smooth as possible.

Aquabrah: Are you guys taking player versus player combat suggestions more seriously now that a big new patch is being released with more abilities? The ESO forums is filled with great ideas on how to improve pvp and almost none have ever gotten implemented or acknowledged. Ex. The battle spirit update affecting dragon blood causing it to barely heal dragon knights even below execution range (Even in full heavy armor) and the suggestion to increase the healing percentage.

ZOS_eWrobel: We always take feedback seriously. One Tamriel was so huge we had to focus on the balance and new item sets. With the next major update we will be focusing on class balance and abilities. We have a pretty cool new version of Dragon Blood planned that will help magicka DKs while maintaining it's power level for high health characters.

flyingcrystal: do you plan to make more dlc's in future ? And also i want to share my humble opinion i think you should do less dlc's and more content on it and i want to travel all of tamriel i know thats very hard to make but i will be glad if you make someting like this for example a skyrim expansion open all of skyrim add story new sets etc for 3000 crowns and make this 2 or 3 in a year but the game is awesome anyways!

ZOS_Jeremy_Sera: Yes, we intend to continue putting out new DLCs regularly. We have lots of Tamriel to explore and typically it involves opening up a new part of the map.

[deleted]: Are training dummies still work in progress? Are they going to be released as part of housing (a furniture piece or accessory in other way released to housing)?

After removal of Ninglenel unofficial training dummy https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/267575/save-ninglenel-dps-test players are left without any way to train and test their rotations (which is important with such very competitive and demanding content like veteran Maw of Lorkhaj) for several months already

ZOS_RichLambert: The serious answer is yes.
ZOS_BrianWheeler: Yes training Mike is always a work in progress.
ZOS_Finnigan: ...
ZOS_GinaBruno: https://media2.giphy.com/media/26AHLBZUC1n53ozi8/200_s.gif

mrpwneta: Hey guys! I recently got my friend into the game after playing a couple years myself, we're both super excited for 1T!

I was wondering if there has been any talk of adding flying mounts into the game?

Also, would ESO ever add new playable classes, such as with an expac, into the game?

Thanks for doing this AMA! ESO has been my favorite MMO to play since it came out, and I can't wait for next month!

ZOS_RichLambert (edited): Free flight - no

Hovering / Floating... maybe?

ZOS_MattF: Definition of "maybe": currently no plans to do this.

fearthemuradinbeard: Quick question. Will jewelry crafting possible in the future?

ZOS_PhilipDraven: No immediate plans for this, but it's something we'd like to explore adding at some point.

Roog3n: You guys seem to be dodging the UI questions... Any plans to give console players Buff and Debuff icons, more control over UI placement, Map markers we can save and name. anything??

ZOS_RichLambert: Pretty sure I answered this one already - but yes we are working on showing Buff / Debuffs for the console UI.
