Replacing this image (and others)[edit]

Hey guys, before I do anything drastic, I would like some input/opinion from others about replacing this image as well as the following images (apparently uploaded by the same user).

The main problem with these images is the weather of Raven Rock. I may be wrong (which is why I require input and possibly some experimenting from other users), but from my own experience, it is always cloudy and the sun can't be seen directly, and the surroundings are usually yellowish. It never gets this clear like in this image or the others (the weather only changes if you go further north in Solstheim). Even if the Clear Skies shout is used, it doesn't affect the weather at all and remains cloudy and ashy. The only in-game way I know of that can change Raven Rock's weather is by using Auriel's Bow and bloodcursed elven arrows at the sun; this will cause all the clouds to disappear, revealing a clear reddish sky. (One other minor thing is that the texture of the ocean is wrong; it looks too flat like a slab of ice.)

I'm guessing the image uploader used the force weather console command to create a clear sky and brighten up the place for his/her shots.

So, with that, I would like some input to validate my above theory about the weather, and if confirmed, I will proceed with replacing the images. ~ Psylocke 14:14, 21 September 2013 (GMT)

I'm just going to be lazy and ask if you tried the Clear Skies shout. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 14:17, 21 September 2013 (GMT)
Yes, quite a number of times. It may be just me, but when used, it has no effect on the ash wastes of southern Solstheim. ~ Psylocke 14:23, 21 September 2013 (GMT)
The uploader of all those images is known to have manipulated images to get "good" images over "true" images. If it is impossible to recreate a clear blue sky using only in-game methods then feel free to upload a true image. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 14:30, 21 September 2013 (GMT)
I did some Googling and found out that according to TES Wikia, "Clear Skies does not appear to work in ash-covered areas". Can another user confirm this? If true, this information can be added to our article. ~ Psylocke 15:42, 21 September 2013 (GMT)
Okay, I've given it a week and seems like there are no more inputs. I'll go ahead and slowly replace these images. ~ Psylocke 13:06, 29 September 2013 (GMT)
I've corrected the weather for the remaining images in question. Granted a little late but done at least. All weather was achieved simply by waiting repeatedly until ideal conditions started. Thuraya Salaris (talk) 00:26, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
