Traits are aspects of your NPCs that can modify their behavior, which may provide different effects depending on which job they are assigned. Any traits on your Ruler are especially important to consider, as they can effect your entire castle. A subject can have 1 to 7 traits.

Considerate Best at the Kitchen and Loom. Skilled with Protective spells. Makes everyone better at the Kitchen and Loom.
Bossy Bosses coworkers around, making them efficient but miserable. Makes everyone more productive, at the expense of happiness.
Enduring Lives longer. Lives longer.
Emotional Feels everything strongly. Rulings have a stronger emotional impact.
Envious Hates it when coworkers are more productive than them. Increases material gains in Rulings. No subject can be happier than the ruler.
Haunted Often chased around by a ghost, who will sometimes do their work for them. Increases hauntings in the castle.
Heartless Miserable to work with. Skilled with Frost. Prohibits subjects from being happy. All subjects are skilled with Frost.
Volatile Fueled by anger. Skilled with Shock. Rulings bring less joy. All subjects are skilled with Shock.
Jester Enjoys telling a good joke, even when not appropriate. Rulings bring more joy.
Sophisticated Less productive, but easily made happy by music, literature, and art. Makes everyone happier, but less productive.
Leader Rallies coworkers to work faster, their Happiness aligning with theirs over time. Makes rulings that may inspire workers.
Mighty Best at the Oil Press and Smithy. Skilled with Melee weapons. Makes everyone better at the Oil Press and Smithy.
Perceptive Best at the Mill and Sewing Table. Skilled with Ranged weapons. Makes everyone better at the Mill and Sewing Table.
Pyromaniac Best at the Kitchen, Furnace and Smithy. Skilled with Fire. Prone to arson. Uses more oil in the castle. Makes everyone skilled with Fire.
Reckless Works and fights with zeal, but at the cost of their Health. Rulings are more impactful, for better or for worse.
Charming Distracts coworkers. Skilled with Summoning spells. Distract subjects, reducing productivity, but rulings bring more joy.
Melodramatic Prone to overwrought retellings of lengthy stories from history. Some rulings may cause more drama than expected.
Devious Prone to assassination. Worryingly skilled with Daggers. Prohibits subjects from being happy. Harder to assassinate.
Tribal Works and fights better next to family members. Encourages familial cooperation.

Gourmet Gourmet subjects' health gains at the Buffet are increased. Gourmet rulers make subjects more efficient at the Buffet.
Influential Influential subjects' coworkers happiness will slowly match this one's. Their Summoned creatures are more powerful. Requesters will strive to match the Influential ruler's mood once a ruling is made.
Inspiring Inspiring subjects may motivate coworkers into completing their work faster. Rulings made by Inspiring rulers that make subjects happier may motivate subjects into completing their work faster.

Musician Musician subjects get happier at the Music Stage. Musician rulers make subjects more efficient at the Music Stage.
