Tournament: Brynhildur War-Wind[edit]

When you meet her in the arena she will say:

"And so we face each other once more, Warrior. Even though you somehow won, you remained gracious in victory. You fought with honor. I hope you will do so again in this most glorious of arenas."
I will.
"Very well, then. I am ready."
I'll do what it takes.
"Perhaps I overestimated you, then. Prepare yourself!"

Once defeated:

"Thank you... for fighting honorably..."

Dialogue[edit]

Introduction lines[edit]

The following are comments made by her before the duel begins:

  • "I am Brynhildur War-Wind, and I fear no mortal's blade."
  • "No man or woman has ever bested me in combat. Will you? I think not."
  • "I will try to make this as quick and painless as possible."
  • "Do you fancy yourself a god?"
  • "Just don't expect me to go easier on you because of it."
  • "I will make sure it remains as such."

If you've previously beaten her in combat, she will instead say:

  • "There will be great honor in finally beating you."
  • "Whoever wins today, know that you have earned my respect."
  • "Your victory against me was an aberration, an anomaly."
  • "You have surprised me with your skill and ferocity. A true champion."

Rematch lines[edit]

If you lose to her in the Arena, and then fight again, she will say:

  • "I wish you had not come back for more punishment..."
  • "I have told you before, no mortal's blade can kill me."

Defeat lines[edit]

Upon being defeated by the player, she will say:

  • "I apologize for... looking down on you. You have... fire."
  • '"Perhaps you are... more than a mere mortal... after all."
  • "I respect that... you didn't go easy on me either."
  • "This cannot be..."
  • "I feel no shame, only... pain. So much pain."
