Glitches page[edit]
Per your edit summary request, I figured I'd explain your edit. You added a new line for the Hearthfire add-on, but it's fine to merge that information with the Dawnguard line. As for the testing circumstances, that should not go on the article page itself. If you'd like to share that information, it would belong on the talk page. Vely►t►e 14:47, 15 September 2012 (GMT)
- I actually started with just merging it, adding only two words but figured that I could "Verify" HF. I appreciate the feedback. :)--FubarFrank (talk)
- Hm, also, why do you have no timestamp on your signature? It's a really useful thing for readers of conversations to see, and it'd be nice if you could enable it. Vely►t►e 16:13, 15 September 2012 (GMT)
- Because I typed it instead of hitting the time stamp button. I hadn't noticed that it didn't work.--FubarFrank (talk) 16:16, 15 September 2012 (GMT)

Link on Userpage[edit]
Hey there, Fubarfrank! I just wanted to let you know I edited your userpage so the link works correctly now. Unlike internal links, you don't use a pipebar ( | ) before the label for external links. Hope ya don't mind me tweaking that for ya! — ABCface◥ 23:07, 15 September 2012 (GMT)
- I don't mind at all, I'm just kind of going with the whole trial and error thing. Is there a page on how to set up my user page? --FubarFrank (talk) 23:30, 15 September 2012 (GMT)
- You can use userboxes, colors, tables, and templates like {{SkyrimBox}} or {{Page Icon}} to add to your userpage. I think a lot of people looking for complex setups just copy and paste someone else's format and change the colors--I learned some formatting by borrowing elliot's code, and a lot of people have been taking Eshe's format lately. You can also add pictures from the site to your page. Just experiment and copy-paste until you figure it out.
(←) Just a note to let you know I've done the same thing as my first post in this section again. You had unneeded pipebars in the links, hope you don't mind me removing them! — ABCface◥ 17:14, 6 October 2012 (GMT)
Wanting to play Morrowind - Discussion[edit]
So I have played Morrowind once before but a very long time ago and before Oblivion had me hooked on TES. I didn't gain anymore than maybe a level or two as the graphics (sad at the time) killed it for me but now that I have a new found respect for it and want to play it badly. Tell me, what should I expect having been through all of Oblivion (in detail) and Skyrim? I don't remember much when I had owned it before so I'm still a little in the dark. I do remember Sayda Neen though and also finding a guy that was trying to fly. :)--FubarFrank (talk) 22:20, 20 September 2012 (GMT)
- This stuff, mostly. Past that, you could search through particular quest and place pages. Vely►t►e 22:42, 20 September 2012 (GMT)
- You know, I've seen that page before. Totally forgot about it, thank Vely.--FubarFrank (talk) 22:45, 20 September 2012 (GMT)
You rang?[edit]
Hey there, Fubarfrank! You said something about needing a mentor? :D ⇠eshetalk 19:55, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
- Ah my dear Eshe, did you have a feeling that I've been trolling your userpage for ideas or is it just coincidence?--FubarFrank (talk) 19:57, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
- Oh, that old thing? Nah, I just saw the comment in your edit summary—it's like my bat signal :P. ⇠eshetalk 20:00, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
- That's why I added it. ;) I am confused as to how the syntax actually works. I'm new to editing wiki's though have been on here forever. I want to get my user page going so I can get the feel for it and also sandbox before actually editing but it's hard to always copy code from other user pages. (Sometimes copy and paste doesn't seem to work well.) I did learn a little bit from Wikimedia but I'm sure there's more. I would ust like someone that can answer my obsurd questions from time to time without trolling the RC for a patroller.--FubarFrank (talk) 20:06, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
- I can definitely help you with that :). I mostly learned by copying from other people and changing things to suit my needs, so I'd say you're off to a good start. You get the hang of it after a while, I promise!
- For starters, I think the {{DragonFont}} template only works with capital letters, so if you change your username within the template to all-caps, it should display the whole thing in the dragon alphabet. Like this:
- {{DragonFont|[[Lore:Dragon Alphabet|FUBARFRANK]]}}
- I'm generally around between 8:00 and 4:00 (CST) on weekdays (because I'm naughty and I wiki while working), but you can always send me an email if you have questions outside that time. My phone almost never leaves my side, so I should be able to respond fairly quickly :). ⇠eshetalk 20:18, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
- That's awesome Eshe, it'll be our little secret but I'm on during work hours as well... a lot. You can rest assured that I'll be bugging you from time to time. :) Also, the drgaon font did have me confused but I also though it looked kind of cool too. :) Thanks!--FubarFrank (talk) 20:43, 21 September 2012 (GMT)

Eshe, I'm looking for the small marksman icon used in Oblivion for a userbox. Is there a page that one can rummage through countless images on the wiki?--FubarFrank (talk) 20:58, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
- There are many such pages, actually! Category:Images is probably the most helpful since everything is nice and organized by game and by image type, though Special:NewFiles can come in handy as well, with its fancy search feature. You should find what you're looking for here, though (just to save you some time!). ⇠eshetalk 21:05, 21 September 2012 (GMT)
Protected NPCs[edit]
Heya, I was wondering if I could perhaps help you with some of the details in your sandbox here? :) -Helenaannevalentine(talk) 00:06, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
- Please do, just bare in mind that I just started the page a little over an hour ago and won't get back to it until tomorrow. Any ideas though will help get my direction going with it.--FubarFrank (talk) 00:26, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
-
- Well first off, in the first table, the column where it states the Protected NPCs "Quest" and it currently says "not quest essential" I think should be removed and have that column similarly to what's seen on the Skyrim:Marriage page for example, where if the spaces are left blank, it means "no" or "none" and should have a note directly before the table stating so, just so it keeps with a clean consistency. I'll go ahead and make the change so you can see what I mean, but if you have any objections, you are more than welcome to revert it back -Helenaannevalentine(talk) 00:39, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
- UPDATE: I've gone ahead and tweaked the tables around a bit as well as some of the information. Lemme know if what's changed is alright with you :) -Helenaannevalentine(talk) 01:53, 29 September 2012 (GMT)

- Helena, I'm afraid you may have mistaken the reason that I created the sandbox. In talking with Alfwyn about Protected NPC's I have decided to give them their own table as has been done with the Essential NPC's. I merely started it late in my day (I Wiki at Work) and was leaving soon so I saved the page so that I could come back to it tomorrow. I had only added two names from the Protected NPC's page and was fooling around with a couple of ideas. I apologize for not explaining my intentions when you had offered your assistance. I still find advice invaluable and welcome it freely but let me work on it tomorrow and show you where I'm going with it.--FubarFrank (talk) 02:43, 29 September 2012 (GMT)

- Ah I see now that you've just copied the data from the Skyrim:Essential NPCs article and placed it it directly onto your new sandbox! ahaha sorry about that misconfusion, I guess it's partially my fault as well for automatically assuming. So I'm guessing that you're meaning to replace the names already there with the ones listed in the Protected NPCs category? -Helenaannevalentine(talk) 02:52, 29 September 2012 (GMT)

- Exactly, it's kind of my first step to becoming an actual part of the wiki. If that even makes sense. Been on here so long that I feel like I owe the site something. Again, if that makes sense. :)--FubarFrank (talk) 03:19, 29 September 2012 (GMT)

I definiteyl will, everyone's been really helpful (As you can see from my TP) and forgiving. I usually only get on at work though since I have two kids and minimal time to myself. As for work well, let's just say it's a product of the economy.--FubarFrank (talk) 03:41, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
Your Sandbox Tables[edit]
Hi FubarFrank! Just saw your note about the table overlap problem. I'm going to guess you're talking about the little parts on the right of tables A-H that stick out a bit on the right side. The reason that happens is that those rows have one more column than the other ones in that table.
I'll use table B as an example:
|Beem-Ja |Outside Ironbind Barrow |Coming of Age | |- |Belrand |The Winking Skeever (Solitude) |The Bonds of Matrimony / Rebuilding the Blades | |- |Bjorlam |Whiterun Carriage Driver | |}
You see how there are four |
in Beem-Ja and Belrand's sections, but only three under Bjorlam's? The extra |
in those first two rows are what's causing the trouble. They just have one more column than your header row and the last row in the table. If you take them out, it should all be fine :). Hope that makes sense! ⇠eshetalk 19:12, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
- Awesome, Thanks so much, you rock Eshe!--FubarFrank (talk) 19:38, 29 September 2012 (GMT)
Protected NPCs WIP[edit]
Hi Fubarfrank09. Just checking to see if you are still working on your revamp of Skyrim:Protected_NPCs. If not, or if you don't respond to this question, your WIP tag will be removed. Thanks. --Xyzzy Talk 02:41, 6 April 2013 (GMT)
