High Rank Bypass

When doing this quest and talking to Three-Eyes about the topic "Work with professionals", I got the dialogue "We recognize that you're a Mastermind of the Thieves Guild. We will gladly do business with you. Bring us any stolen goods that you wish to sell. We will find buyers for them. In the future, we also might have jobs for you. Your hideout is in Bthuangthuv, is it not? Do not be surprised. We can see the glow of Dwemeri brass on you. We will send word when your Guild's skills are needed."

I have added a small note about the rank bypass, but I do not know if it is limited to Mastermind or anything, say, rank 6 or above, for example. So I just left a vague "sufficiently high rank" in the notes for now. If anyone can verify exactly what rank(s) is needed that would be helpful.

Agh, I had missed this bypass on first writing the walkthrough. Looking at the topic conditions in the Construction Set, the rank bypass applies from Captain rank upwards (so 6 and up), with an additional bypass if certain skills are of a high enough levels.

The Rats questlines in general (ie OE TG, Ando TG & FG, Aka FG) are full of stuff like this, so I'm not super surprised this was missed initially. Thanks for spotting. - Jinks (talk) 10:30, 16 February 2024 (UTC)

Thank you Jinks for the updating. Interesting to see there's also a generic skills check with no rank required to bypass the test as well.

I am doing my best to update things here and there in TR content but I don't have access to those tools, so I highly appreciate what you're doing and the time you spend to do it.
