Horn lily bulbs and timsa-come-by flowers in the Nedothril region

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak to Ranosa Orrels in Akamora's Guild of Mages.
  2. Speak to Polodie Floine, the Guild's alchemist, for 130 gold in funds.
  3. Bring 20 horn lily bulbs and 20 timsa-come-by flowers to Polodie.
  4. Speak to Ranosa for your reward.
  5. Return in three weeks to complete the quest.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Begin the quest by speaking to Ranosa Orrels in the basement of Akamora's Guild of Mages. She will ask you to replenish the guildhall's stocks of Timsa-Come-By flowers and Horn Bulb, and will direct you to Polodie Floine, upstairs, who can provide you with 130 gold in funding for the necessary purchases.

You can scavenge these items yourselves, but note that they are not commonly sold in any alchemist or apothecary shops. Timsa-Come-By is a reasonably common offering at ancestral tombs, but collecting these in the wild may still take a while.

To speed things up, Polodie will suggest that you try the farm shop in Sailen, near the coast to the southeast of Akamora. The owner of this shop, while out of stock herself, will direct you to the greenhouse at Bisandryon, a long way to the southwest. To find this place, journey to Dreynim, and then journey north along the river until you reach a bridge. Bisandryon is directly to the northeast of the bridge.

Once inside Bisandryon, enter the gardens and speak to Drimsu Gindol. He will have enough Timsa-Come-By to meet the quest requirements, but will regretfully point you towards the coast of Nedothril or the Altmer florist, Bariel, in Gorne for the horn lily bulbs (although he does in fact sell a few if bartered with). While in the Gorne area, you should also visit Seitur across the sea to the northwest, as Manus there will sell as many horn lily bulbs as Bariel.

Return to Polodie to hand over the plants, and claim your reward from Ranosa. The quest cannot actually be completed until three weeks later. Speak to Polodie then to finish it.

Notes[edit]

Horn Lilies can be found in relative abundance on the streets of Akamora itself, particularly towards the southern road.

Index Finishes Quest Journal Entry
20 The Akamora chapter of the Guild of Mages has been contracted by the guard to produce resist-paralysis potions, but is lacking the necessary resources. Ranosa Orrels, the guild steward, wants me to help out. I am to ask Polodie, the alchemist of the guild, for concrete instructions.
30 I need to get hold of 20 horn lily bulbs and 20 timsa-come-by flowers and deliver them to Polodie Floine. He suggested a visit to Darys' farming shop in Sailen.
100 I have given Polodie the bulbs and flowers he requested. In about two weeks I should be able to see if the seeds are coming up. In the meantime, I should let Ranosa Orrels know, and check out the rewards waiting for me at once.
120 Three weeks have passed since I delivered the seeds to Polodie. It might be high time to check back at the Guild.
140 Finishes quest☑ Polodie has thanked me for my assistance; the Guild of Mages is now able to produce potions of paralysis resistance.
