Shalmurat

Shalmurat is a tower in Hlaalu territory lately occupied by scouts of House Redoran.

The Redoran garrison here is captained by Akser Arobar, who describes his orders as a "long-range patrol mission into Hlaalu territory." Others in the tower may confirm that their presence here is meant to be under the radar, saying: "The Hlaalu don't know that we're here... yet.".

Certainly, the garrison is closer to Hlaalu settlements than that house would likely prefer - being a short walk from the town of Menaan. The tower of Shalmurat itself can be reached by walking northwards from Menaan towards the Monastery of St. Aralor, taking the left at the junction with the bridge, and the next left after that.

Shalmurat appears during the events of the Fighters Guild quest, For a Few Pieces of Iron, as it is the location that treacherous merchant, Ilvys Hleeri, has been selling iron ore to from the Hlaalu-owned Ushu-Kur Mine. If you choose therefore to try and get the iron ore back for House Hlaalu, you are likely to need to kill all occupants of the tower.

Three skill books can be found within the tower: 36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 22 (Medium Armor), The Horror of Castle Xyr (Destruction) and 36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 3 (Blunt Weapon).
