Zungarg

Zungarg is an Orc who can be found at Goldfolly. He will not appear until his leader, Sabonn, calls for him and his companion, Agalir.

Quest Related Events

After speaking to Sabonn, he will call to his friends who appear out of nowhere:

Sabonn: "Zungarg! Agalir! Come meet our new friend!"

Zungarg: "No need to shout, Sabonn!"

If you speak to him, he'll say:

"A new recruit, eh? I hope you can keep pace. The blood will run fast and thick when the vampires attack, and I can't watch your back and mine."

Do you expect a lot of resistance?

"Gods, I hope so. But don't let Agalir hear me say it. Superstitious Redguard.
I say, you don't become a vampire hunter if you don't like taking risks. The more they fight, the more fun it is."

If you speak to him before speaking to Agalir, he'll tell you:

"Make sure to say hello to the grumpy Redguard over there. He may seem cranky, but he's a good man and a better vampire slayer."

After speaking to Agalir, but before Sabonn, he'll say:

"Well, now that we're a big happy family, you should have Sabonn go over the plan so you know what to expect. It's going to be brutal. I can't wait."

Once you've agreed to help, Sabonn will address the group:

Sabonn: "Listen closely. This is the plan."

Sabonn: "We're going to lay our trap in the abandoned village up the hill. Zungarg, you guard the west gate."

Zungarg: "No one's getting by me."

Sabonn: "Agalir, you're on the ridge by the east gate."

Agalir: "May the Divines guide my bow."

Sabonn: "I'll take the north. Our new friend will use the bloodstone to lay the bait in the well at the center of town."

Zungarg: "I love this part."

Sabonn: "Drop the bloodstone into the well. Blood will spout forth, and it'll draw the vampires out of hiding. We'll be waiting to cut them down."

Sabonn: "The vampire lord won't sit by while we thin his flock. If you see him, whistle."

Sabonn: "If everyone's ready, let's get into position."

Zungarg: "Whoever kills the fewest bloodsuckers buys the drinks!"

Agalir: "Don't joke, lest the Divines punish your frivolity."

Zungarg will head to the west gate. If you speak to him:

"Hurry up and move into position. I'm getting antsy for some vampire slaying."

Before you activate the blood fountain, you try to speak to him, he'll berate you with:

"What are you doing? Go activate the blood fountain!"

After defeating the vampires, Sabonn will send you looking for Agalir while he searches for Zungarg. At Agalir's corpse, Sabonn will say he couldn't find Zungarg and fears the worst, when Sabonn notices Zungarg approaching.

You turn to see Zungarg standing quite far away. He'll say in a peculiar stilted way:

Zungarg: "I followed the vampire lord right to his lair. It's in the cave, north of town."

Sabonn: "Quick, follow him. Slay the vampire lord. For Agalir!"

Once inside the lair, Sabonn will exclaim:

Sabonn: "Zungarg! It's as I feared. He's turned. You'll pay for this, vampire scum!"

You must defeat Zungarg.
